noise after trans mount
Is it normal that my exhaust sounds louder in the cabin after switching from stock to solid trans mounts?

Are you sure it is the exhaust and not the trans? I added a bushing to mine and the gear noise and vibration was very noticeable. I’m sure solid mounts would be louder. I suppose the exhaust note could be transmitting too.

Yep. All of the bushings and inserts I installed added some noise, some of which can be mistaken for exhaust noise.

Yes an exhaust hanger holding your midpipe seems to be bolted directly to the transmission! Is this right?
The stock mount is very squishy and probably absorbs a lot of minor vibration. ![]() ![]() |
