Odd sensation when cornering left..

This is hard to explain but I'll do my best.

When going left around a sweeping corner at 50mph+ the rear feels like it.. shifts outward a bit and it feels like I'm about to be into some oversteer. Mind you I'm a long way from losing actual traction, the TCS never kicks in nothing like that. When turning right I do not experience this sensation, it seems to only occur when turning left..

Sorry if I'm explaining this poorly.

Is there any sort of suspension issue that might cause what I am describing?

Thanks in advance.

I would start with checking for uneven tire wear or tire pressure then alignment before looking at suspension.

Tire pressure first. I was amazed when I realized how easily even a few PSI difference can be felt.

It was tire pressure, my right rear only had 27 psi due to a leaking valve core. Good to go now

Thanks for the replies.

If it isn't tires/alignment/something fkd rear control arm. It's most likely a blown rear strut.

Reviving this. I'm having the same issue. All tires are at 35psi. The only difference is after a right turn TC kicks in, the light flashes, then everything is back to normal.

I jacked it up and looked at everything on the rear suspension. Everything looks tight, no play in bushings.

Definitely a pucker factor when you feel the back end move more than you expect when doing +50mph.

Check toe arm mounts first, then alignment based on my experience.

Mounts are good, alignment was just done the other day. They didn't notice anything that would cause the sensation either.

Now I'm also noticing what feels like a delay in one tire when turning to the right.

Everything is tight, I'm not sure what else to look at now

Just went through a somewhat similar issue. Speed dependant steering problem, worse at high speeds. Car drove okay on straight, flat roads or when turning right. Turning left would feel normal until maybe ten degrees of steering wheel angle, then the car would want to suddenly leap over one lane to the left. Very unnerving having to fight to keep the car in the lane. Also, the car would tramline badly on poor roads or on water grooves.

Thought it was an alignment issue, three alignments later and it was only getting worse. Put the car up on a lift at work and had two experienced technician buddies check everything underneath for an hour, no one could find anything wrong, everything felt tight as a drum. The two main hypotheses that popped up were an issue with either the front lower control arms or the steering rack.

I decided to take a chance and ordered up the front control arms. When removing the right arm I noticed enough grease had leaked out of the ball joint that it had traveled up the shaft and lubricated the nut. When I went to remove the nut I found it had worked loose and I could remove it with my fingers. Luckily the cotter pin kept it from coming off completely.

I slapped in the new arms anyway since I had them, now the car drives great again. Not sure if the loose nut was the only issue, the ball joints on the old arms still felt tight and the bushings were still intact at 90k miles. Anyways, might give you a direction to go in.
