dude, that is exactly how my gf was too! I think she showed more emotional excitement than I did when I drove it off the lot. haha

I'm sure the OP has already sold the car, but I wanted to chime in with something anyway. I look at this way, I would keep the car, suck up the lost income (unless it's dire), and let the monthy payments force me to pay it off, so no matter what I will own it, OR I could sell it, take a bath on it, maybe never get out of debt, still have NO car, and have a HUGE resentment/regret towards myself/wife. If it was me, I would still choose keeping the car. You can't cure resentment.

Heh... here I am, 3 years later. Married, and in a very good place. The decision at the time was the right one. I drove a beat up old Corolla i bought on CL for $500 for a few months, sold it for $1200, then bought a BMW 323i for $3k - slapped on a new set of tires and completely replaced the shocks/springs/struts with a new H&R Touring Cup Set, drove that for a bit, sold it for $4k.

I'm happy to say, I took delivery last night on a 2016 Hot Lava .

My wife loves it, and she's excited that I can enjoy the car again, now that we're in a much better place financially (and emotionally). it's good to be back!!

Win-win situation man!
You have and kept a relationship with your wife and now you have the 2016 model which had much of the issues from the 2013 fixed and extra goodies like the camera and shark fin!

Glad to see you back

Still love the asphalt.. like that stealth/hardcore look you can have with asphalt or the black.. but I wanted something that really stood out.. and i really like the contrast of the orange with black accessories.. think it looks sharp! I keep sneaking peaks at it in the driveway between meetings, and i think i love the colour more every time i look at it!

You can always get another Wife.
Ask yourself, what gives me a better thrill.
I'd keep the car.

^^^Idiotic statement.

Love to hear a happy ending to a story I sadly read when it was originally posted. Good things.

Good to hear. I remembered this thread a while back when I first was interested in the car. Lava is an awesome colour choice!

Welcome back dude! I remember watching your YouTube videos back when I first bought my FR-S. I believe it was a bunch of hidden features in the videos. I thought it was cool that you were a member here. Thanks for the vids!
