DTC POO13 is taken care of ,the new cam shaft position actuator is in ....they had one on the shelf believe it or not. that leaves DTC PO5OA cold start idle air control system... Also I need to check Fuel to air ratio to insure I have no leaks... I can say at this point if anyone is wondering about the power of this SC... It's as fast or faster than my WRX but with out the turbo lag that my 09 WRX had. ...... WRX power with out the under steer. All the butt puckering lack of passing power is history....wonderful indeed. I'm a happy camper.

thats good to hear Ernie, and next thing to do is some 3rd gear full throttle pulls with the ECUtek logging so you can check the log file and ensure the AFR is reading something sensible
if you still suspect an airleak then I've found the best way to locate an air / vacuum leak is to have the engine running and warm and then spray lighter gas /propane around each joint in turn. If the engine rev's up you've found your leak. Now you might think that spraying lighter gas around a hot engine isn’t wise, however the flash /ignition point of gas is about 400°C so you need a naked flame or spark to set it off and I’ve used this method for many years without incident. Work your way through each possible joint one at a time and you should find it. I use a slightly flattened piece of brake pipe and some rubber hose from the can of lighter gas to provide a spraying 'wand' and allow a direct blast of gas into each area, especially those difficult to reach with large implements. |

one other thing Ernie
P050A seems like a minor thing and probably relates to the idle speed being a bit wayward? and I've noticed on my own whenever I flash it it takes about 100 miles or so to settle down on idle so that last one may just sort itself out |

how it runs ..as you know a stock car when the pedal is pushed to the metal it responds with a lot of sound and fury ,but not much acceleration until the higher end of he RPM scale. ...this engine now responds with near instant acceleration. In any gear 1-4, I get a little tail wag when shifting at a red line...I have not taken it above 85 MPH due to the abysmal road conditions this time of year. It's pretty smooth delivery. In the cabin there is just a hint of mechanical noise..on the order of what the heater blower motor makes on the 1 setting. When I first unpacked the SC I spun the blower by hand. I was surprised at the amount of drag..I am willing to bet once this SC gets some break in time on it the power will increase. I can only imagine what that will be like. As it is now I have seen the traction warning light come on more in the last two days than in the last 10 months. And that's on dry roads. You were right of course about needing decent tires with this rig..I can't wait to remove my winter blizzaks . The exhaust sounds glorious....A bit to loud for city or dense suburban housing tracks I would imagine. Nothing but trees around me so .... I can hear no ignition break up when climbing through the rev range. I am getting around 26 MPG over the last 80 miles..Not much different than before..which surprises me. I have not babied the car...If somethings gonna break I want it to break now...Everything seems quit correct...I am fairly confident that there are no mechanical problems that I might have caused during the installation. That is a very good thing !!! Previously whenever I would get in the car ,start it up, pull away and be reminded how much I enjoy driving this BRZ...This SC is the icing on the cake for sure.

Loving this build thread. The cosworth kit looks spot on in terms of torque curve and the size of the intercoolers gives me confidence this kit wont heat soak like the innovate/sprintex kit does.
Faster than a WRX you say. 268hp on a 1.5ton car vs 280HP on a 1.25ton car I should hope so I would hope it should outpace a 305HP WRX STI too being 20% lighter |

I agree about the water to air cooling set up. It's one of the reasons I did not mind spending more for this SC kit. I am going to do some more logging of air, water and oil temps once the weather gets to normal March temperatures. What I have seen so far is promising..but it's been very cold for March.

I look forward to it
I'd be tempted to fit the forester oil cooler here in the uk for track use. |

It would be the greatest thing, if you could some how do a video "review" of your now cosworth supercharged car. At least make a video! I'm dying to see your car jump off the line. Also, from what I gathered with Jerry III's video, the Cossy SC doesn't wine. Is this true?
