...another... Throttle Body Thread

First... I searched...both here and the innerwebz (I couldn't find a translate-able website)

Any info on some of the new throttle bodies out there?? Ankglid, R Magic, and Auto Craft have some out listed from about $350-$600.

I can't seem to find any specs/info.

Here's a like just for reference, if this is against the rules I'll delete the link. No affiliation and not selling anything..

Cusco makes an actual larger throttle body. What do you hope to gain with one, though?

There really are no gains to be had from a bored out throttlebody on these cars.

2mm overbore for $1,500? I feel bad for anyone who actually bought that.

I highly doubt you gained 2hp from a spacer on this car. More than likely it was different conditions on they dyno that gave you the increase. These cars show zero gains from spacers even if you're boosted

Another option,

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=66

we bench racers over in the NW section think it would only offer gains on a positive displacement SC setup (or anything where the compressor is post throttle body). This is why I believe the TRD SC used a Tundra throttle body.

I'm aware of the Cusco model, and it's minimal increase..

And what does anyone hope to gain with engine mods...???

Well... I happen to be running the Sprintex 335 s/c with a higher boost pulley on a built motor. So indeed I am in the situation that would most likely benefit. I'm trying to suck in as much air as needed, without restriction.

And thanks for the link! I'll research...

Are you maxed out on pulley size? Meaning, couldn't you just buy a smaller pulley? Wouldn't that be the cheapest route?

I see all these throttle bodies and realize that the narrow runners are the problem.
Anyone else realize this as well?
I mean the 2017 manifold with larger diameter runners gains more with a stock throttle body.
