The 3 flash thing is just a common tap-flash configuration equiped in some cars and trucks. I had it in my last truck and loved it.. obviously there are times for it - and other times 3 isnt enough so you have to do it manually.
I have an SUV that has it and have never found that 3 to be nearly enough so I still do it manually... Then again, I'm probably the only person on the road that actually uses my indicators religiously...

The one for sale above says you can adjust it up to 6. I did some unscientific polling on my commute this morning. 6 was more than adequate in any situation I saw.

Nope you're not the only one. The truck I use for work has that feature and all it does is annoy me cuz I'm not a lazy tool who flicks my signal for a second and thinks that's good enough. The only time I ever tap my turn signal is if I'm about to turn and realize I'm turning at the next one or whatever.

This thing actually allows you to cancel in these situations, too, by intuitively just tapping again. The other OEMs stock signals don't, as far as I'm aware.

Will be checking this out! I do like the additional features of the hazard lights too!

Was raining down hard today, was wishing I had the F1 style rear-fog going!

With your head under the steering wheel, the flasher sits just below the steering column, just to the left. It's an 8-pin Toyota-style flasher, and the wire harness faces the firewall.

I know this because I can no longer hear factory turn signals, so had to replace mine with a louder one...

So, can you get at it without removing any panels?

A DIY and review of this would be great once someone installs it

Yes, it doesn't sit very high up or too forward, so it's easy to unplug it...it's visible and accessible from underneath without removing the plastic panel under the steering wheel. And BTW, I just left the original flasher in place after unplugging it, and used some 3m interior adhesive trim tape to secure the new flasher to a nearby flat surface. Probably if you remove the lower plastic panel you can get easy access to the screw/bracket that holds the flasher in place, but I decided it was easier to just leave the old one where it was -- one less thing to track down if I decide to reverse my installation in the future.

Sounds pretty much plug and play right?

Does this device also remotely control the windows or is this just for the tap turn feature?

I'll give this a try. Might not be able to twist and get in that position (old fart, 57 with blown back) to find it.

Installed. Awesome little module. Does different hazard modes, as well. Could get in trouble with that wig-wag pattern.
