Probably figure that out soon. I need to do some research.

Nope, I'll grab an EcuTek log tomorrow. So far it runs very smooth. Mike at Moto-East told me it was a very safe tune (pulls timing at high RPMs to help with the DI issue that some have had). I've got a E50 and E85 map, I'm tempted to drive the 20miles and just feel it. We'll see.

If I had to guess it's probably ~240-245whp and I'm sure it could squeak out another 5hp or so after the dyno tune. I think most people would prefer the way this kit drives compared to the Vortech kit. Not drastically far apart but the twin screw set up gives much better mid-range.

wow, really happy to see that you've finally got it in your hands to play all day! hope you enjoy it

If you don't mind me asking, was this kit not everything you expected? maybe I over-hyped it for myself based on what others have said, but I kinda expected it to have a "holy shit! huge smile on my face!" factor. but like you said, it's not game changing. does it fall a bit short on the performance or feel when driving?

It's what I expected. I've owned an M3, 911, and several fast RX7s. I've also been around a lot of cars and have driven a ton of fast cars. So it doesn't give me that wowwww feeling but I'm happy with it.

I tried to data log and a bunch of indicator lights came on. I tried clearing the DTCs and that wouldn't work. So then I tried to reprogram the ECU and that failed, I'm stranded for the second time...yay EcuTek. I'm pretty frustrated by this product. I now need another license from my tuner and it's Sunday, don't expect the dude to be on my beck and call. However, this is my only car so my Sunday is ruined. There has to be a better way!

Fuck that's a beautiful car. Question, how much slower is it than an e46 M3? Just wanted to know for comparisons sake Are your wheels BBK friendly? Like the fitment but would love to add BBK in the future.

I've flashed my ECU more times than I can count and I use a MacBook Pro running Windows 8 with VM Fusion...never once an issue like this. Ecutek on a whole has been extremely reliable overall for the FT86 so it leads me to believe that something else is going on with your car that's causing these errors.

I hope you get this worked out soon man.

Looks like it will be out of commission indefinitely. Mike is trying to do everything he can but it's not working. Hopefully the EcuTek people can figure out what's going on. Probably waste another 2 hours of my time troubleshooting. I've used two laptops now. It's my only car so now I need to find a way to work tomorrow. FML

I think I could run a 13.6 in my BRZ.
I probably could have ran a 13.1 or so with my e46.

It just lacks a little power compared to the M3 but it would hang with it, M3 would slowly walk away.
