The whole strait line missile nonsense is so repetative now a days..... I'd compare to the likes of when people argue who has the largest house or the most guns.

But lets be honest people any car that can get you from 0-60mph in under 6 sec. is more than you'll EVER need on a public street. You can beat 98% of the cars on the road, can break any US speed limit within ~15 seconds, and land you more tickets than you can count

Any car that can do 0-60 in sub 4, is in super car/sallon realms. This is so far detached from what one needs in daily driving that it genuinely becomes silly (only us gear-heads really salivate of things like an M5 or 911) and are purely bought to fuel our own "go-fast" icth. nothing more nothing lest (anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves)

Any car that does 0-60 in sub 3... well lets be frank, unless you've launched a Veyron, PDK Turbo-S, GT-R or something of that caliber you've probably never experienced it thrust like that, and you'd be shitting bricks the first time round or be dead when you plowed into a tree or oncoming traffic at 100mph 5 seconds laters

Honestly the reason I want an FR-S is because it brings out the inner 10 year old in me. It's a 2-door RWD that I can hoon around at will without having to come home sobbing thanking baby jesus I didn't launch myself through a guard rail trying to pass mini-van. The fact it's quick is really just a cherry on top of an already delicious cake. I've stopped looking for things based upon speed but rather the bigger picture lol

You, sir, "get" this car. It's not about speed. It's about "feel". The way the car feels, the way it makes the driver feel.

It's not a mass market car. It's not designed to appeal to the masses. It's designed to appeal to people who know it's way more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.

However, it's a great deal of fun to drive a fast car fast, but you typically don't do it for very long or you end up like the pic below. Yes, I was driving. Yes, I was 16yo. Yes, I thought I knew how to drive. I went over a 15ft embankment after the car spun on me. The car had a whopping 150hp. Back in the day, it was "fast".

Don't use it as a DD - use the back seats to haul shit to and from the track. That's what they're meant for, not people & groceries.

I'd walk daily for the chance to track my car more often
if you don't have family or friends it makes a fine dd

Why thankyou!! The twins (or rather triplits) are about so much more than run and gun, there built to put a smile on your face every-time you drive it lol.

Glad you got out of that one in once peace!! While I never got into an accident and my 9-5 Aero would eat an FR-S like a chew toy.... What good is 155mph capable car when it sits in traffic or how not fun a back road is when it tries to torque steer me into a the nearest tree every time I touch the loud pedal lol

I'm dying for my FR-S cuz boy does west MD have some awesome backroads to go an nice car ride, windows down and just escape

There ya go!

I am from Tennessee and we have some twisty bits there. I'd rather have a car that's fun at 50mph than one that's fun at 150mph.

Holy crap. This pic reminds me of all the times I got very lucky in my "fast" cars when I was a young driver. That could've been me several times, and I'm not sure I would've made it. You've nailed many of the virtues of what make this car so awesome, and I really don't want for much more power at this point. Getting the OFT was fun. Some headers, run E85 in the summer, lighter wheels and tires and I'm pretty much set.

No joke. There's a (cough) private test track (cough) where my previous car easily hit very high speeds. I can ring the 86 out, still feel the same kind of thrill, look down and be doing half the speed.

Try e85 first Im waiting on headers because of noise. Plus Im not sure which sound I like the best yet.

Test drive in c6 z06 went OK. Loved the car, didn't love the salesman.

No comparison speed wise to the FRS, but yet again cements my choice I love my car.

And I still think its fast

Absolutely nothing in the price range drives like this ( few things more expensive actually drive like it).

On a track or a twisty road, I would consider this fast
I hope this is true, check out 0:43 on this video...This is rarely stated in videos, but I guess I will find out soon...
