AUDM 86GT 6MT with ZA1JA10G ROM.

So I did a test reflash with the BRZbeta EcuFlash my stock .bin file and the Tactrix OP2.0 wrote to the ECU ok. Took about 98 seconds to write the 08000-13ffff block.

I've then reflashed a modified ROM with RomRaider Editor checksum correction. Changed VVT settings with associated fuel and ignition tables, changed default IAM to 1.0, CL/OL transition settings and increased rev limit to 7600 as per suggestions by Shiv 1.3 and mad_sb.

I have not changed idle or DBW settings so I can assess former changes without having increased zip by reducing pedal travel.

Car turns over and starts fine, will report back after a few days of driving.

Now waiting for logging capabilities on the Tactrix.

Anybody else having issues saving roms with the ECUflash beta? I just noticed that it says it saves the file, but when looking at the directory (or file) it isnt written to the file. Just curious.

I had this issue when testing on my Outback, but not the BRZ... Also I was able to save SRF but not BIN. Nothing is appended to the log when I attempt either.

I also can't save any modified ROM using this beta.

I would suggest reporting all of this to MikeyPSF on RR, so that Colby can debug when he's back.

So an update on my logging attempts:

I did some packet sniffing on ecutek logging today... was nothing like what I was expecting to see =x. I am extremely curious to see what Colby's datalog packets look like. I was able to send in packets after pulling the ecutek cable out and putting in my own hardware and poll AFR through non standard call. It wasn't SSM or J1979 based. I have no idea what the basis is lol. Looks like I was able to come up with some math to convert their hex to an actual AFR / Lanbada though! Gonna take me years to go through and write definitions for all of these points. EEP!

I was unable to get SSM to give me any data back it just gave me read permission errors =/. I need to try out techstream and see if it pulls via SSM or 1979. Going to try to do that later this weekend.

At least I actually got some progress though and have a way to at least find a list of commands by ticking 1 log parameter at a time! lol

edit: just found a file on github for romraider logging definitions and the AFR math matches mine. I'll have to check if some of these other ones match up.

Hey nelsmar - nicely done. The conversion of the parameters has not changed much from what I've seen in the rom, so most of the RR logger defs should work.

Thanks, I found a local with a tactrix cable & brzedit. I asked to meet up for a few today so i can try using my hardware with the commands i gathered last night on his car to see if it works, as well as see what his is sending for similar requests.

Now if only I had the time... I could actually get the logging rolling hardware wise in my car within about a day or so (i still need to write SD saving, refresh rates, and write a more advanced alert system, and then optimize the hell out of it since i'm running short on ram).

I am waiting for scantools to email me back. These commands work when I send with my hardware but not with an STN1100 family chip. Its odd, I think its a configuration issue. People "say" you cant send 15765 propriety messages over a 327 but yet you can send literally everything else. I think most people are confused with driver & software support and confusing a 327/1100 with a j2534. However the STN1100 series worked great for packet sniffing

@Td-d
Just tried to run some basic standalone logging with the OpenPort 2.0.
Using CAN addresses in the basic sample Subaru CAN logcfg.txt file (RPM, load, MAF) , I just got a whole bunch of false data and lots of .csv files.
Am I doing something wrong, or have addresses changed for us?

I believe that to use the standalone CAN logging on OP2 for the BRZ will require a patch to the rom (like was required to enable CAN logging on the SH7058 roms, or mode23 on the Mitsu's). This is probably what Colby is working on.
