I use 76 or Chevron 91. Funny enough my first car (1990 Ford Escort) towards the end of it's life would only really run smoothly with Chevron. Supposedly the Techron helped, although I have no hard evidence other than my car dying most of the time I didn't use Chevron.
It's not out of the way at all for me so I shall continue to mix and keep it peppy haha

I use 76 when ever I take a long distance trip. I would use it locally but not to many close to my daily commute.

I put in a little over 4 gallons of 100 today to the half a tank of 91, is in fact more peppy. Thing is the station is a bit out of the way from me.. I'll probably just end up mixing each time prior to going to the canyons like tomorrow.

By the way; for anyone's future reference found this cool little chart.

I did Shell for the first few fill-ups with my car... then the crickets attacked. I fended them off with Chevron and they never came back.

most recently I was forced to fill up at a 7-11 in the rain and car just felt sluggish right after fill up, so I stopped by a local VP gas station, they sell 100octane @ $8.89/gallon.

I was using shell at first but I have noticed that most shell pumps have the sticker that indicates up to 10% ethanol behind used. I have been to a couple Chevrons that also have this sticker but for the most part I don't see that disclaimer at Chevrons or 76 fueling stations, which either they are not adding ethanol or not disclosing it to the customers lol

edit, and thanks for posting that chart, based off that I went for about a 92.6 and there is a definite noticeable pep in my cars step after doing so.

the owners Manual

IDK if someone has already pointed this out but the owners manual says to use 93 or higher. and if 93 isnt available the use 91.

i have a 2015, i used to use shell, and 76 91 octane. i would get horrible crickets chirping at every stop light. as soon as i switched to chevron 91 the crickets went away. after it went through the full tank and only had chevron the chirping was gone! can't say that works with everyone but for the last 3000 miles its worked for me. so I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed

i used to get crickets from everything. chevron, 76 and shell was the worst....until i switched to arco. Ive had several tank fulls and zero crickets. i was against using"cheap gas" but ever since, its been silent. i have 10k miles and have had crickets since day 1. so glad they are gone. as many people have said before, it IS the ETHANOL CONTENT in the fuel that feeds the crickets.
