H11 for stock lights, H7 for winjets. The Best kit I've used hands down has been the morimoto HID kits and the Diode Dynamics premium canbus HIDs they don't flicker and they ignite quite quickly. Anything past the 4300k-5500k range and you lose usable light and it becomes useless.

Meng Motorsports makes a really good HID kit.
H11 is the bul size. 4300k is OEM temps (slight yellow), 5000k is white, 6000k has a slight blue tint. 4300k/5000k is best for visability. After that it starts to shorten the range |

I have the Kensun kit from Amazon, the price and quality are really good. I've actually put them on 3 different cars before and have never had any problems. I have 8000k bulbs and 55w ballast. It's 60% white, 40% blue. I also have 6000k bulbs which I'd say are 90% white, 10% blue.

I have the Diode Dynamics 6000K HIDs, and they are 10 times better than the stock bulbs. They are very bright, and have excellent visibility.
Though I personally have never had HID bulbs in the range of 5000k-5500k, I cant believe visibility/range could be any better. |

Doesn't matter what HID Kit you get, unless you replace the projectors it'll still look subpar and not "best".
Stock projectors are ment for halogen bulbs and not HID kits. So if I were you I'd go with the cheapest HID kits (the best HID kits being official ones from phillips, diode dynamics, the retrofit source, etc). Cheap kit would run you about $25-$45 while a true authentic kit will run around $80+. But like I said, the projector isn't ment to handle the HID bulbs, but it's a lot better than just shoving an HID kit into a reflector housing like most idiots do which is blinding. |

Just installed the Diode Dynamics kit and I wish I'd done it before my trip to NM a couple months ago. The road between Hobbs, NM and Austin, TX is almost deserted at night and it's very dark. I found the stock halogens provided terrible illumination if you're not driving around in town.
Installation would have been minutes except for figuring out the best way to deal with the extra modules between the ballast and the lamps, for noise cancellation and ignition, I believe. The ballast to lamp connection isn't long enough to mount them very remotely and long enough to be a pain in the ass. The ballasts themselves are fine, it's the smaller boxes you have to deal with in a way that will look clean and not rattle on a bumpy road. Well worth it though.

keep in mind that you get what you pay for. if you pay $50 for an HID kit, it is probably some made in china crap. I recommend TRS (The Retrofit Source) or DD (Diode Dynamics) for their excellent customer service.
HID bulbs in the stock FRS halogen projectors are pretty decent. 5000k is a good temperature for brightness and the nice white light.

Don't put HIDs in halogen projectors.

For halogen projectors the cutoff on the stock halogen projectors are quite good, also unlike crap on other cars it doesn't melt.
Winjets in my case use a knock off/clone of a rx-afs projector so they also look alright when hids are used. The bottom line is if the headlights are aimed correctly after install it's not a big deal.
