I just want to thank @JS + BRZ for making the drive all the way up to Landofdisaster to help me out.

As I mentioned my car was deemed a total loss. I think it could have been fixable, but it wasn't worth it to the insurance company. I had 3 hours to get all my parts off the car and get it back to stock. I got 99% of my parts off the car, so I'm happy about that.

I found my Series.Blue in Phoenix, so after wrenching from 9am-noon in 90*+ temps I hopped into my friends car and drive all the way to Phoenix and straight to the dealer. I wrapped everything up at 11 PM & checked into my hotel by 1145. I parked in the very back row of the parking lot under a street light with absolutely no other cars around to keep my new car safe

Now here's where unbelievable becomes tragedy. When I checked out of my hotel I walked up to my new car to see a huge scuff right in the middle of my bumper and realized some jerk bumped into my brand new(to me) car!!! I was pissed, but figured it would buff out... that's when I saw it: the guy hit me twice. smashed my headlight, fender, and drivers side of the bumper. I haven't even owned the car for 12 hours and someone smashed it in a parking lot. I looked directly across from me and saw a white Ford E-250 with WRB streaked across it's bumper and rear quarter panel.

There was no note, so I went inside to see if the person left a message at the desk, but no such luck. She told me there were 4 "White Fords" registered at the hotel, so she didn't know who's it was, so I called the police.

Anyway, we found the guy. He said he didn't think he hit my car. He said sorry, if he did it was because it was late and he was tired. Don't mind the novelty shot glasses in the center consul...

What an amazing month I am having...

wow, that's horrible luck... at least the guy was still there and didn't drive off.

And at least you've got photo proof so you have leverage to get him to pay for those repairs. Still sucks hard!

Try having owned a brz for a week exactly (to the hour) and getting rear-ended, putting your beloved new car into the shop for 12 days. At least your (to be fixed) new car is drivable

. But I DEFINITELY know the hurt feeling.

aww that sucks. maybe you need to start to volunteer for some charity works or go to churches or temples.

You would think I'm some kind of heathen, an arms dealer or something; but, I work on research helping homeless veterans and veterans with mental illness.
