QUESTION for owners:
If you lean your head over the blower unit while the car is idling, do you hear a slight knocking noise? Sort of like the unit needs oil? I checked mine and the oil is fine but it seems like there is a noise more left of the unit, with my head between the blower and alternator. Sorry, I made a video but you can't hear it well. It's like a choppy noise. I couldn't feel any leak from the manifold or the unit itself. Got me scratching my head.

did you check the oil while the supercharger was out of the car or in car? remember if you are checking the oil while installed in car, you need to raise the rear of the car until the supercharger is level. The supercharger installed is in an angle since the engine is in an angle.

I just fired mine up. I don't really hear anything I would consider bad... If I stick my ear to the SC I can head gears turning inside, but barely.

Yeah I did prior to install, but I checked again to make sure.

Quick question for everyone. I know we are all interested in torque as much as horsepower but why are all these dyno charts I see starting there pulls at or above 2500 RPM or even higher?

A lot of our customers really want to feel the power as low as 2000 RPM's, especially on supercharged vehicles, since the claim is torque everywhere. Also since that is where you are driving most of the time anyway it would be nice to see some pulls from 2K on up.

Cheers,
William Knose

Mine is getting installed and dyno'd on Friday. I doubt Brady @Pure Automotive will have any issues doing the pulls from 2k. Granted, the dynos on Friday will be on basemaps without any revisions, so i'm not sure how useful they'll be to you.

Oh but if we all thought like that...

Way too much weight is placed on dyno numbers on this forum. The vendors and tuners have about zero transparency as to their testing process and methods.

Throw in stupid dyno results from 20 different people on different dynos, different tuners, different parts, fuel, regions and it's basically a mess.

Dyno your car before hand like said, install parts re-dyno and those are the results that matter.

I'll be doing a second dyno set at a different shop... I actually have two stock baselines from two competing shops, so it will be interesting to see if I get the same percentage increase on the 2nd shop's Dynojet.
