The front end can be unsettling.

I was beginning to think everyone thought it was gorgeous, but you proved me wrong and straightened me out.
Hey, it takes all kinds. Some people wear Crocs and socks. It doesn't stop me from pointing out the truth.

You are most welcome. My opinion is the one thing I'm a world class expert on, and feel it is my duty to share it generously with everyone.

Honestly, I think that 90% of the issue is they decided to make it look like it should have a grill but doesn't. Had they not put the flat area below the nose but made it more flowing (say like the new roadster) or had added the trim to the nose like the S or X, it would have been fine. Bland, but fine.

Had to look it up to see what you guys were talking about. Yep it looks like a part is missing. Even a piece of trim running through the middle would make a work of difference. Even if they simply joined the two lights with a raised piece it would look more finished. I am actually surprised that the design team would not have done something there. They could even just moved the Telsa emblem down from the hood and made it a bit bigger.

Hell even back in 1960 they realized they had to have something there to break up the space a grill should take.

That's what they did on the other models. Here is the S. That's really all that is needed.

Had this idea kickin' around in my noggin for awhile... (I DO know I'm crazy, but I make stickers, so...)

Tesla should sell a few different stickers that look like different grill designs for the Model3. Then there would be a simple way to make your 3 look like a "real car" and would still be aerodynamic.

That might help but so we're clear, I don't think it needs a grill unless it is functional. There are lots of cars with little or no grill in the front that have decent looking design and are aerodynamic.

Some people thought of a cool idea to break up the flat face of the front bumper... a license plate. Haha go figure.

I googled "my" idea. Someone already had it (probably before me too) and is selling them... I'll go back to what I was doing now...

The Tesla Model 3, the only car that looks better with a front plate than without.

And of course they put the North American plate down too low and still riun it!

Does that count as a bolt-on? Asking for a friend.

This just tells me the Tesla front looks weird because it's missing a functional bumper.
