Speaker help!
Ok so I am having some trouble picking what speakers I want to go with..
HU is a Kenwood 7140 nav Amp is a Kicker 11zx700.5 - 4 speaker channels and 1 sub channel Sub is a JL W3 that will pair up nicely with the sub channel off the kicker amp. RMS outputs from the kicker is: 70w @4ohm x4 or 85w @2ohm x4 or 165w @4ohm x2 (bridged) IF I go with option 1 or 2 I will also hook up a set of Polk Audio 3.5 inch coax speakers in the dash.. IF I go with option 3 I will just run a strong set of component speakers. Speakers I am looking at: Focal 165A1 - rated for 60w @4ohm RMS, 120w @4ohm MAX RE Audio 6.5 components - 75w @4ohm RMS, 150w @4ohm MAX or a set of Image Dynamics (not sure which model yet) - guessing 125w @4ohm RMS, 250w @4ohm MAX So what are your thoughts? Should I bridge the 4 channels down to 2 and just run some decent components, or leave the 4 channels and run some lower-end components with my polk 3.5s? |
