This might be true, however our cars are RHD so the steering pinion/shaft are on the other side (right in the bloody way) therefore there is a really small space to play with hence we lift the engine up to create a bit more wiggle room!

As you lift the other end (the one with two pipes welded) turn and push it through the available space. Almost done! Once you managed to get it through and sits there pretty, bring the engine down! Now proceed to install the header!

With this header, I get the header in the position, let it hang in there, connect the overpipe section, tighten the bolts (you will have more room to reach the top bolt with the header hangin' believe me), then tighten the header bolts. Proceed to tighten the front pipe bolts.

Hope it makes sense!

Also not recommended that you jack from oil pan. Best if the block of wood is placed on the cast alloy block or cam chain cover. Instructions here: http://aceheader.com/images/Removal_..._of_Header.pdf

Each car's dimensions are a bit different. We play within tight tolerance levels, so some cars require jacking and other don't. Sounds like you got a good shop too!

Any questions regarding installs, feel free to PM us or send us an e-mail at ace@bymer.com.tw

Take care

I've got everything done; header is installed, tune is applied. Sounds very nice, goes very nice. 0-100 is down to 7.3s (AT). I like this

There's one thing bugging me; the pipe actually touches the bottom plate. What do you guys recommend, how to best address this?

Some owners have this issue and other don't. If there is some contact you will need to do the following:

1. Remove skid plate
2. Place block of wood on bottom of skid plate
3. Hammer the raised section until flat

This should take care of the contact. Glad to hear the install and tuning went well

I'm getting my header installed next week. I was just reading through the instructions and I have a few questions.

1) How long would it take a competent shop to install this?

2) What are guys using for the midpipe to front pipe gasket?

3) Do I really need to remove the front pipe if I'm reusing the stock one?

Thanks.

1. how competent? Depends on if they're familiar with the header or not. 1.25-1.5 hours if they are, more if they're not.

2. OEM donut

3. Yes.

If you are just on oem catback it's totally fine, but if you got any aftermarket catback (especially the ones don't use the spring bolt) or you just took it on & off many times then you should get a new one.
