GTA used frs prices
I'm probably going to be selling my FR-S soon. I haven't been able to figure out how much I can get for it though because I haven't seen any used ones for sale on autotrader other than dealer demo models. What do you guys think I could get for it (its a hot lava, 6 speed manual with TRD exhaust and intake.)

Someone sold an automatic one with turbo kit and a good tune for about $25k before the winter I believe.
Depending on how many km's you have, I would bet you're looking at around $23k tops.

23K seems too low to me for a 1 year old car that should go for a bit over 30K new. I personally would definitely not sell it that low.

FRS's are 25k base right? So why would you get 30k, just remember reading about a guy with a frs turbo kit and lots of other parts and wanted 40/60k. No one is going to pay that much

Base in Canada was $26000 1 year ago. On the road works out to around $31500 to $32K as I recall.
I'd expect to get somewhere in the range of $22k or slightly higher. That's 15 percent depreciation. The killer is freight/PDI lost. On the other hand demand is pretty strong so who knows. I wish I'd bought a year old one and saved $6K or more. Remove the intake and exhaust and sell separately. You will do better selling the car bone stock.

There is a used Black FR-S Auto with 17,069km at DVNT, the market value currently is at $26,388, DVNT is selling it at $25.888. So use this as a starter, obviously the more km you have its worth less.

How many km's on the car? I may be very interested even w/o the TRD exhaust/intake.

I'm currently shopping for a BRZ/FRS, buying very shortly... Been going over adds from Toronto to Montreal for the last month or so.
Some people are dreaming and asking above MSRP in hope of getting some of the taxes they paid back, it's hard to sell a 1 year old car. Seen a few FRS for sale privately for 26000$. Kinda funny... Dealers are selling them with less than 10k kms for 24000-2500 depending on condition and options if any and they offer financing at 3.9. With 25000kms on it, if it has a clean record and all, probably worth around 21-22k with or without mods. Unlike a turbo kit and stuff like that, exhaust and intake type of mods dont really add value to a car but does make it more appealing to a potential buyer if he likes it. Remember that you need to get a buyer with either cash or has to get a loan at 5+% at the bank for a used car. On a 1 year old car, it often ends up cheaper to buy new when you need financing. Such is the reality of a 1 year old car, makes it even worst for those who are trying to sell them after financing them over 84 months... To give you an idea, I'm currently looking into one in Montreal, leased, with 10k on the odo, current buyout should be around 23000$+tx unless my math is off(gave a 2500$ cash + 6 months of payments). I will know tomorrow. Could be a good deal since I pay cash. |

I'm with you on the cash deals. There is one locally on a used car lot with 20K on it, they are asking $25,995...dreaming in technicolor if you ask me. I may go have a close look at it soon.
