Turns out my backups is only 2 years old, still old but not that bad. Found my old system image that I created when I installed the OS.

Reverting back to that image after I post this. If I never show up here again, means my computer blew up and I was too lazy to go buy/build a new one.

How do you know when you've found "the one"? Is it when you start asking your mom to call the lawyer to draw up a pre-nup for your blood diamond family heirloom engagement ring?

About the ring; my grand dad on my mom's side served with the 3rd armoured division (hooah) in Korea and won the diamonds in a poker game. He had a ring made up for his girlfriend and was going to put the diamonds he won in it. But when he came back home, he met my grandmother in Brooklyn. He broke up with his girlfriend, started dating my grandmother, and as they say, the rest is history.

This ring has deep meaning to my mom, and I can't just be giving it away to any broad. I can't just ask any girl to wear the ring my grandmother wore for 55 someodd years. I need to know it's right.

Somewhat off topic, my grandad always told my family he was just a logistics guy (lol @Tcoat) and didn't see any action during Korea. Then my uncle had a shadow box made with his unit patch, and the medals he was awarded. I saw them and I was like "haha, he saw some shit". My uncle (who also served with 11th field regiment RCA, the same unit I serve with) went and did some digging, turns out that he was a communications guy and a gunner in a tank. Fuck yeah grandpa for being a badass.

Well, now, how do you know when the "right" one comes along? You will just know. If she is the one person you think about all the time, want to be with all the time ....... and is willing to put up with YOU ....... she most likely is the right one ......

About the diamond ring. I feel the ring should stay with your Mom. I suggest you buy a "new" ring, as an engagement ring for your bride.

I salute your grandfather for his service.....

When you feel you have found the "right" girl, I would be available to personally "interview" her for you ....... just make sure I get the first interview ...... not after @Ultramaroon and @Tcoat have drooled all over her .....

Well, I shouldn't be telling you that. My exam is coming up next week and spent most of the night watching anime.
