The BOV sounds great at shift, but kinda too loud for me at cruising.
So I have changed it back to the one that come with the sc kit.

What the hell is that sound? lol exhaust sounds good with that header setup

Love it....But I do not have a vortech SC and I'll most likely be buying the JRSC and I don't even know if that BOV is compatible

If you want, you can find out where the JRSC wants the valve to open and compare it with the maxflow valve characteristics. If the kit uses a 25mm/1" hose that goes to a bosch type bypass valve, you can use a greddy flange to 25mm adapter. This is how I mounted my maxflow on the standard charge pipe that vortech supplies. The greddy flange is almost perfect, you just need to drill the holes out slightly larger for the bolts to fit.

Beware, it is LOUD and will scare small children and anger the cops

Can someone snap me a pic of the top of their compressor so I can take a look at the breather valve thinger. A buddy of mine picked up a kit second hand and it was missing several of the smaller components. By the looks of it the compressor still has the shipping plug in it and the guy he got it from said he ran it for like 5k miles.

It has the domed dip stick one and the one to the left has the flat top and looks to still have a dab of something marking it.

also if anyone has a P/N, couldn't decode from the install instructions part list.

*EDIT*

Found what I was looking for:

Hey guys,

I just experienced a belt rupture with my Vortech. Well not exactly a rupture in a way that I get a belt with an end and a beginning, but more like a rupture in a way that it has been "cut" into two pieces along the circumfence (if you know what I mean). So to say I now have two belts...

This happend just 5000km after the V-2 has been installed with the 3.125" pulley.
I am wondering if the extra heat by the shared oil with the engine caused a belt failure or of maybe one of my pulleys was not perfectly aligned. Nevertheless I will get the 2.87 pulley installed this wednesday and I already have a Gates HD belt ready for installation.

Do you guys know any alternative for the gates belts? I am looking for a reinforced or extra strong one in particular which is compatible with the 2.87" pulley!

What size belt were you running with your 3.125" pulley? I've only had issues with the wrong belt size back when no one knew which belt size to run on the smaller pulleys.

To be honest I don't even know.
I bought the belt together with the 3.125" pulley from our german Vortech reseller.
The belt was announced as suitable for the 3.125".

I just brought the car to my shop (not the Vortech reseller). When I get it back I can take a look at what's left of the belt to check for any signs.

Yeah man, see if you can grab the size or PN from the belt. I had a belt that was too tight and ended up failing, switched to the correct size in a goodyear gatorback belt and have had no more issues so far.
Goodyear gatorback was #4060967, got it off amazon for 20 bucks. I think now they go under the continental name since a merger/buyout or something
