New winjet headlights and perrin inlet tube to complete the modified stock intake (perrin drop in filter inside).
Stuck in Osram nightbreaker white halogen bulbs in the new headlights but it's not as white and brighter as advertised so I think I'll just go with the HID route. |

Installed these new bulbs that came in yesterday. Just had to satiate that modding itch but didn't want to do anything too big yet. Paid 12 dollars for these (HP3, cool white). Do give @Diode Dynamics a look-see for all lighting needs! Next up, HID kit.
Also, just ticked over 2150 miles in exactly one month of ownership! (Bought it with 58 on the odo) |

So the Madoka license plate.... is that in reference to Puella Magi Madoka Magica? And today I finally installed my drivers seat... no pictures, but I fabbed up all the mounting brackets (with crappy TIG welds... am getting better though...) and welded a seat belt buckle receptacle from a Celica GTS onto the Recaro Sportster CS frame. I was hoping for more drop than ~1/2" but using sliders made everything easier and the ergonomics are so much better than the stock seat. What is even better though is that you are now actually a part of the car like you are tied directly to is and can sense everything so much better. The stock seats are akin to feedback you'd get from an american sedan with bench seats in comparison. Amazing the difference in chassis communication that is broadcast with these seats! Can much more easily read what the stock tires are doing and balance them so much more precisely now they don't even need to squeal anymore. Need to research what it takes to get rid of the seatbelt light and audible warning...A 3.3ohm resistor in the SRS plug is doing great taking care of the SRS warning side of things. Will be working on a second revision of the brackets to give it more rake angle for even better comfort and see if there is anything that can be done to drop the height. At least now I can finally see the signal lights at intersections from the normal seating position...just barely though...LOL The chosen red center/black outer color option of the seat matches real well with the factory FRS passenger one, all black drivers seat with the FR-S passenger would have made it a little weird to me. I'll get a picture of it installed in the car (left camera at work...) but here's a picture of just the seat when I got it in:

Took her out for some glamour shots after installing the OEM fogs, and a rebadge. I love the look, but I'm still on the fence about the wheel color.

I've done quite a bit to the car over the last few months, so I'll start with the OFH install.
I was lucky enough to find that from the factory they decided to cross-thread the O2 sensor. Then got a killer deal on some 17x9 +35 bronze RPF1's with RS3 V2's for autocross. Then placed 4th at the National Match tour in Salt Lake City After that got in tough with Odi at Feal Suspension and got a set of Feal 441's in just 2 days at my door. Added a Whiteline 20mm front bar and 18mm rear bar. And this is what she looks like now. Drives AMAZING, and now ready to head to National's up in Packwood next week.
