If you can make a sketch of the Kenwood mic with dimensions, I'll make one too. It would help though if I had the Kenwood mic myself to test the fit.
There was a STL file linked on the forum for a JVC mic, in case the Kenwood is similar. |

Someone should recreate the Toms Cupholder but for left hand drive cars. I would love you long time and pay you for one lol.

Thanks, JVC and Kenwood should share the same mic, but the JVC sketch covers side holes of the microphone, this muffles the voice A LOT, making it useless...

If anyone is interested in the below I can send them the STL file for printing.
I have wanted to make use of the blanking plate on the 86 for a USB & microphone. Fitment is OEM flush. Only issue is the tabs on the item aren't as strong as the original unit as I couldn't built gussets to support them as space didn't permit. The microphone is press fit into place - I used the supplied Sony microphone and took off the plastic shroud to reveal the microphone (6.5mm dia). I was concerned it wouldn't pick up my voice but on testing found it to pick my voice up really well. The USB from the Sony XAV-5000 was inserted into socket and used super glue to keep it in place. 3D Printer - Creality Ender 3 Pro Images below: |

Phone mount compatible with Brodit holders
I installed a larger (8") head unit and a single piece dash trim so I needed to design a new phone mount.
I opted for adhesive / double sided tape for easy installation. I have not tried to remove it yet, but I hope it will be possible without leaving any marks. I published the design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4237813 |

Pioneer mic adapter
I attached a zip with the STL files for the Pioneer mic adapter I made. I have printed two of these now, one for myself and one for @spike021 on a luzbot mini in PLA. I was only able to test it with the mic style pictured. If you have the dimensions for other types I can modify my files for you. There are three files, one male side, and two female sides. If your mic still has the ball on it, you can use the "with hole" option to retain the ball. If you have castrated the microphone, use the other side. |

If you cover side holes of the microphone the sound will be muffled A LOT, they have to be left open. I have my mic under the grill, but with side holes open and it's perfect.

There is a little over 2.5mm gap between the walls and the mic side openings. The walls don't interfere with the capabilities, I tested to make sure before I finalized the design. |
