Ah. Yeah.... the OTL header dyno is a friggin joke. The baseline is ~18 whp lower than everyone else... and suspiciously the "post header" dyno is exactly the same as everyone else's "decent header" dyno, lol.

Will you also be testing a first gen header to see if there are any advantages/detriments?

I'm not Kevin, but any good FA20 header will be fine on an FA24. *maybe* some gains to find from a 3" collector outlet, OP/FP combo though.

there were lots of FA20 headers that won't be good enough for the FA24 though. Runners too small...

I'll bet that many of the second gens would dyno at 200 or below after driving on sub par fuels for a while. Restoring original hp levels would probably require good fuel and an ecu reset.

Sure but advertising 20 HP gains based on that... Rather shady.

This topic has been beaten to death, I'll let it drop. Customer dynos will show the truth on their header.

Hard to say with only one data point, but a few turners have mentioned that the second gen is less sensitive to the 91oct vs 93oct. The small gains on E85 show some validity to that. BUT its still very early.

The noise and gains from bolt ons thus far seem not worth it. I for one do not want to drive around with a loud exhaust anymore.

It will be interesting to see where some parts development goes but it really seems like the stock hardware is fairly well optimized. E85 + tune is the sweet spot for power gains, but even then the stock car feels pretty decent.

That noise is from the parts that don't even improve power output. The torque curve with the header looks pretty nice imo.

My car with the CSG exhaust is not "stock" but is plenty quiet enough to not be obnoxious, especially inside the cabin. Leaving the stock catback you barely notice the header at all.

Let's see what a proven header does with a proper tune.

I posted one on the prior page... JDL UEL, 93 octane, tune by Xero-Limit. Not sure it gets more "proven" or "proper"

My apologies. I saw your post but didn't read mods. I just looked at the numbers.

Do you think the ACE header will be on par with the JDL as they were on the last gen?

I'm in your boat more or less, minus the 2nd gen ownership. CSG exhaust is awesome at keeping the sound very tame, I love it. And I absolutely hate loud exhausts, this was my only choice after years of watching and searching. It's plenty quiet on idle and does a great job of brining up some volume if you want to push it hard or keeping fairly quiet when cruising or accelerating calmly. Tone hasn't changed over the 35K miles I've had it either.

+1 on Xero-Limit, tuned mine there as well. He does great work and knows his shit.
