Ford has the mustang for the average person and the gt50 for the crazy rich. Toyota could use the same formula with the fr-s and the lfa. Just my thought on it

Ford hasn't make the Ford GT (the GT40 was the LeMan race car) in 6 years.

If you mean the GT500, the LFA is so far above the GT500 in terms of everything that it's not even fair to compare them, or the people that buy them. Sure, someone with a lot of money could buy a GT500, but very few people have the kind of money to blow on an LFA. Come on, they go for over $300k. The GT500, fully loaded, doesn't hit $100k. The Supra would probably compete with the GT500, Corvette Z06/ZR1, and the top Camaro, with the FRS sitting in a similar market to the V6 mustang. Even the Mustang GT outclasses the FRS, people routinely compare the GT to the BMW E9x M3.

And super late, but welcome! There aren't many of us down here in Tucson, and I've NEVER seen a BRZ down here in the flesh (I've only ever seen ONE in person anyways, and that was Mook's).

If you're free this Saturday, some of us are crashing the Gencoupe meet in Tempe and you're welcome to join us there. The details are back in this thread somewhere, or I can paraphrase if you're interested.

No I ment the GT50 the later model of the GT40 they still make them but like the LFA you have to order it. The GT50 is cheaper at just under $200k and with the mustang I was talking about the cheap models not the GT500 or the super snake. and not comparing them really aginst each other as much as saying that one supercar and one everyday sports car is a good mix. Doesn't overwhelm the customer and allows you to put all your effort into it.

Just looked it up you are right they did stop making the gt50 unless it is a custom order which will be a 2006 and takes 9months to get my wives boss got one delivered by Ford a few months back I didn't know that he had to pay them to build and old one for him

Ok, you'll have to show me your car. I'm doing the service on all the air conditioners. I'll probably be there for a couple days working on them.

Not sure. I have heard others around 100 but we could get that down to about 15 -20 by making our own.

Thanks, Yeah I haven't seen any other BRZ's and I've seen about two FRS so far around Tucson. I currently live out by Picacho Peak so its rare to see me around town. I read about the meet up in Phoenix I might be up for a drive up there this saturday. Should try to make another Mt. Lemmon run like I saw a post about earlier in this thread one of these weekends.
