Agreed on that. I have only seen one or two horrible wrap jobs.

In other news, I decided to scroll over to the FB enthusiast page. There is some argument going on about some red car going to a car show that claims he got hit by a white brz before losing control. Debate is over whether or not the white brz hit him. Here's a pic of the red car:

All i can think is....maybe if you didn't destroy your suspension geometry and could drive worth a shit, you wouldn't have lost control...

Where as a dip kit with all the ninnies is no more than 600 dollars. Of course, I would be looking at doing the dip on my own and a wrap is not something I would attempt.

EDIT: Happy Canada day. My Canadian professor just informed me, and is debating on wether or not to attend to fireworks (doing it early because the weekend) with a canadian flag t shirt or going full NAFTA and bringing a Magarita and american flag hat.
There is a guy advertising locally here for a "liquid wrap" job starting around $700 for small cars. I assume "liquid wrap"means some variety of plastidip but that can look good to if done well. Claims it lasts a few years. Food for thought

Fuck it I guess. Even if it only lasts a year or 2 it'll still be about the same as paint. Be a lot cheaper for Tcoat since his paint get wrecked so fast. Probably more durable too since it's soft

But does it come in lava? I don't mean orange but the multicolour thing that is lava. I like it brown in the dusk and gold in the bright light.

Some of the guys here know me in person. They'll confirm that I'm pretty outgoing. I get the feeling you're the same. Don't let the grumpy ones discourage you. Give 'em a big smile and keep on shining.

It will be impossible to completely remove all traces of dip from inside all the little nooks and crannies. OTOH, the results I saw after a local removed his was mind-blowing. Underneath that flat orange was literally a brand new finish.

I've also seen the results of professional paint correction. Factory finish completely restored. When I collect enough dings I plan on going that direction and then polishing the whole thing.

Regarding any possible hate, who gives a rat's ass? It's your car. Right?

It's like 5 different shades and I love it. It's a copper color in low light like morning or dusk, a fire color in the afternoon on a sunny day, a moody, brown-orange when it's overcast, and a ruddy orange in artificial light. That's four, but I'm sure there's another color under some other light I'm not thinking of.

Such is life. No lava but they do have pearl which is a start. Someone's I would like my car to be lime green. Not permanently but switching every year wouldn't be so bad
