If that were true OT would consist of like 3 users. And you wouldnt be one of them since you keep using "I" instead of "i"

Exactly how much hate would I get for dipping my whole car (non-rattle can style)?

I've seen horrific rattle can jobs, okay kit jobs, and pretty cool kit jobs.

Reason is: My paint looked great when I bought it-but I made a mistake (first dealership purchase ever) and didn't look at it outside of some glaring sun. There are weird spots in the paint, almost little crumpled spots like the begging of a swirl, but it pulled away from the body, and lots of little chips and nicks.

One day, I'd like to paint the whole car, possibly factory color, possibly another- but that is WAAAAAAAY out of the budget right now. Dip would have the benefit of not showing all those marks, as well as acting as somewhat of a protector for the rest of the factory paint.

Just don't do it in flat black or grey so that you become invisible and I doubt you will get much hate at all. Even mr stick on vents actually got complemented on his dip job.

Have considered getting some sort of silver so having un-dipped door jams and such wouldn't be obvious, but thought about going drab green or teal if I went with a crazier color.

Mostly because they are two of my favorite and do occasionally come on real cars, and both look good with gold wheels, which I will be purchasing.

Thanks, Tcoat

Edit:

I've been thinking lately how I wish our cars had come in some of the cool colors like the mustang has..
Hot lava and series blue have been the only two standouts to me, and I missed out on a hot lava by a day.

Some of the Challenger colours rock as well.

Have you thought of a wrap? There are some great colour choices then.

Oh, for sure, but aren't wraps closer to the price of a full paint job? I mean, I was under the impression of, at bare minimum, 1.5-2 grand?

Where as a dip kit with all the ninnies is no more than 600 dollars. Of course, I would be looking at doing the dip on my own and a wrap is not something I would attempt.

EDIT: Happy Canada day. My Canadian professor just informed me, and is debating on wether or not to attend to fireworks (doing it early because the weekend) with a canadian flag t shirt or going full NAFTA and bringing a Magarita and american flag hat.

Thanks. I have no idea what the costs on these things are. I just know I have seen some beautiful wraps. I may get my car repainted next spring since it it pretty bad.
