so? I doubt any of us bought the car thinking it would be quick in a straight line. Hell i didnt even test drive it at the dealer, my test drive was driving my friends brz at autox, which made me 100% on buying the car.

I"m just saying how is it surprisingly fast?
Eh, whatever...done arguing with people about a 13.75lb/hp car being "fast".

I dont think it is as much horsepower as it is torque. If just it was closer to the 200 mark I think that would shut people up including myself.

When I just had an intake an exhaust (no tune what so ever) I beat a mid 90s Mustang GT, Genesis 2.0t, a couple "B16 Super JDM swap" civics, an SI, and on a windy road an M3. Now even though it wasn't a straight line win, beating an arrogant M3 driver is the most satisfying thing to do on a basically bone stock BRZ. To say an exhaust and intake is a note able mod is moronic, ha I've kept up with a stock S2k pretty well on a straight. The best way to put it is you can't be scared with this car. You can't drive it conservatively stock, it has to be aggressive and fearless if you want to win. Now that I'm FI I drive it pretty damn conservatively haha, it literally takes no fucking effort with boost. Even some friends noticed I drive it what I would consider "grandma like" because of the difference. What I'm saying is you can bounce this car of the limiter stock for an hour and it won't fuss cause that's how the engine was designed...

I hate how everyone hates on how "slow" the car is, it has enough power, stop losing momentum by improving your driving skills
![]() It's the successor to the ae86 not the supra... has no one else watched Initial D? ![]() If it had a lot more power it wouldn't be an 86 anymore, and if you feel it just needs a bit more power modify the damn thing a bit, no one left their ae86 stock back in the day :happy0180: |

Would be nice if the headlights would aim/rotate with the steering. Noticed this when I was driving through a twisty cemetary one night. This is sorely needed for those night drives especially for a car that's all about driving.

It's the whole "wangan" highway chase, lol this car is def not a drag car only does high 14s after 4 runs. Low 13s on FI and minor tuning.

The AE86 didn't have a torque hole between 3-5k, that's the problem with the FRS. Just when you get on it she lets you down, by the time you reach 5k you are over the speed limit. So its really not a momentum car with that torque dip.
