I also want a tune as well, just on intake and exhaust but 1200 seems pretty steep. I think I found some sites where you got the tune + license for like 600-650. And I am sure we can borrow the cable from someone. I don't know. I am down if we can get the price down but considerably down.

This is why i tossed in AEM as a comparison. If you want to simply have a tune done w/o a cable for future use than it can be done for a lot cheaper. This was priced higher than needed for dyno time (about 2x what it will probably be) as well as over priced payment to have toni fly down (so that way if the flight is more $$ it will still be in budget). If you PM me what kind of price you were hoping for, and we get enough interest i WILL find a way to make this work. I am going to talk to toni and see how much realistic time he expects each vehicle to be on the dyno for NA as that should cut it down A LOT and drop prices significantly. A dyno tune is going to go a lot further for you than a remote street tune. This will likely work as you doing 2-5 street tunes from Toni remotely before he flies in. Once he gets here he will strap you on the dyno, make the adjustments he needs and adjusts for peak power on the dyno which is hard to do via remote. Tuning will happen faster & more accurately than remotely.

If you simply want an NA tune w/o all the hardware it would be a lot cheaper especially if say 10 people joined in i think i can get it down to roughly ~750-775 for N/A tune without cable, including dyno time, license, tuning fee's, flight fee's. And then i can see if i can work it out with toni if enough people are "new" customers to get a group buy. Keep in mind that future revisions will be fairly cheap at this point as you will already have paid tuning fee's & licensed fee's and you will have a wonderful baseman to have tweaked down the road by Toni.

If i have to pay a few dollars out of my pocket to cover someone I WILL. You need to undertand this doesnt just get us tuning this clears up A LOT of bullshit on the forum. As multiple of us are boosted we will have the same tuner, the same dyno, the same environment. We can run back to back runs and get DIRECT real world comparisons between hardware and see what really makes power This can clear up a lot of bullshit on the forum (or so I hope).

That is why me and Keith plan on doing this regardless. Hell if i gotta split it 2 ways with him i plan on doing it within the next bit just to make it happen. I want a quality tune Hopefully i can swing a new fuel setup and switch to flex fuel before hand, and then get it all done at once and do a nice real world comparison of E10vsE85 on a vortech vs tracey's innovate kit (which i absolutely love his innovate mmmm).

Lets get the head count up there and ill try to cut a deal with Toni!! I'll hear back on my daily rate quote @ the dyno tomorrow. I am estimating currently at the HOURLY rate right now... with 1.5hrs per vehicle (which is over estimating i think for N/A since you will have street tunes!) and this is at full rate estimates of 120hr. I am hoping they will cut us a nice price for 1-2 days pre-booked.

I just saw this post, apparently my original post wasn't clear enough. Ill update it i was trying to also put in there the price of having your own cable (or borrowed). As I know a number of you are planning on that.

I'm waiting for the Nameless catted header, guessing still a month out. Also following the OpenFlash Tablet. So probably a couple months I'll be ready if the OpenFlash sucks.

One last thing: if anyone is just wanting to use the dyno during this time and wants to purchase time PM me ill see if i can fit it in our schedule. Basically we can turn this into a WTF status 86 dyno day(s). I know there are a number of people that would love base lines, as well as just a "current" chart. If we have enough maybe i can get the shop to give us a bi-daily rate for even lower costs to us. But everything is still in the air currently. So if you are interested tell me what you would like. if its say 1hr, or just a baseline (typically 3 pulls) and if you have a price in mind you need or want to stay under give me that as well and i will see what i can work out!

If someone lets me borrow their cable, and you don't want to wait that long. I'll probably just do an NA or E85 tune. I don't have any ecutec licenses.

I could arrange you borrowing my cable so you can get your basemap setup prior to Toni flying in if you wanted to do that. I am completely fine with working that out.

What is the benefit of the base map if it's going to be dyno tuned?

He will get you a nice street tune remotely before the dyno tune. This way he will have partial throttle, full throttle etc all around the same AFR and then he can get on the dyno and fine tweak ignition and save us time & $$ on dyno time.
