I meant send logs to Works or a tuning company for improvements and receive custom tunes. I was under the assumption the map was for a car with just the kit, maybe high-flow filter and exhaust. Main interest in this kit was for me to be able to install and flash myself. Otherwise ecutek with another kit installed at a shop...

Can you elaborate a little on this? I admit I was assuming the base maps were based on an otherwise stock car except for panel filter and maybe a catback/header back.

I'm confused ha ah that's what I'm saying the map that they provide is for a stock car with just the turbo kit.

Sure you can e tune the car via logs, whether or not they would do it using the OFT is dependent on the tuner though. I'm sure if nothing else shiv would for a price.

Awesome so doing some hypothetical math. If we were to take the stage 2 kit with an aftermarket UEL we can expect some decent gains.
I've also been looking closely and it seems with some tweaking might even be able to use the grimmspeed intake? Though the works routing is probably best.

Really considering this kit because it allows me to use my UEL header. I'll definitely need to do more research as I'm looking for a nice blow off sound as well which I'm sure is upgradable. Also my worry of reliability

With the way this kit is configured (MAF sensor before the turbocharger), a blowoff valve cannot be used. All air that has passed the MAF sensor has to stay within the system, or the ECU will end up injecting too much fuel and run too rich, since air that was accounted for (passed the MAF sensor) will be blown off instead of passed through to the combustion chamber. Therefore, a recirculating valve must be used to keep all intake air within the system.

(If I got any of that wrong, please feel free to correct me.)

Awesome news and price!

I'm VERY excited to see this kit and I hope it passes its CARB certification. I'll be awaiting that information and track impressions of people with this kit, but it works out perfect with approx 15k more miles until my warranty is up. Keep up the great work guys!

And fwiw, your base map that comes with the kit appears to get the car up and running well enough, but you recommend taking it to a tuner to get it dialed in better. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks,

Bret
