Last update, I'm in about 3k with the kit and the turbo oil return gasket was slightly damaged by the oil and heat. I think it'll be a good idea to stock a few of these. Got some gasket paper and made a double one. Should be good for now.

I bought like 5 more of them. Its the gasket that is on the bottom of the turbo. It happens to a lot of turbos.

Did you start losing boost or something? How were you able to tell?

Thats a fact lol.. the kit is great and all turbo drain gaskets seem to be the same vulnerable material, like a thick piece of paper.. its only a matter of time before they give. Its like changing your air filter, its one of those things that should be done regularly. I noticed because i look at my engine bay almost after every drive and saw a little splash on the bottom engine under tray, immediately noticed the source. Maintenance is the key, just like with any car, turbo or non.. things will eventually leak or crack, break.. not often but we have to be ready and on top of it.. Its the cost of powa!! lol aside from money lol.

I'll agree on the maintenance thing. Goes with any system. Hoping it'll be a least semi-reliable without a load of repairs.

And what's worse is that they're all like these, no matter what company makes it. I just stacked two and keep spares around. It shouldn't need replacement that frequent though.

I can't complaint honestly about the kits quality. I haven't had it for long but everything fits like oem, clearance is good on all parts and they look like they'll be there for long. Nothing seems outta pace or as if it were force fit. Get on the bus and join the group

Update: the gasket for the drain is looking moist, meaning oil is finding its way out and it's a matter of time before it drips. This is frustrating, maybe I'm too anal and these things are never supposed to be completely dry but I do recall it being dry prior to now. I think the fact that the center section oil outlet is square and all the flanges for the drain hoses are round allows for oil to get to the gasket. That or the flange isn't sealing well enough. Regardless I don't want to leave things this uncertain and ordered a drain flange with a square inlet and O ring.
