I sent e-mail to my bro (in Japan) to ask uncle to confirm bout this and he claim that some Toyota Special dealers (around Yokohama) did provided TRD 3000GT w full warranties (for few yrs).

You're absolutely right! So stop talkin' bout Nismo 370z this, Nismo 370z that. You the one saying Nismo 370z have better this and that (without any specs or reference sites). Like you said, it's about TOYOTA Supra, NOT NISMO 370Z. Comparing/guessing new Supra MKV to Nismo 370z is pure insult. I rather be compared w Corvette.

If you wanna talk bout Nismo 370z, do it off-topic thread. I'll be gladly praise how Nismo 370z perform. I know they're awesome cars, I have driven them in and out of track before. They sure make my car feels like POS after coming back from the track.

Then compare with GT-R. In my guess, it's gonna be costing around same or lil bit below the price tag of R35, not Nissan or Nismo Z's.

I'm not gonna comment on this one. This proves you that, you have never raced before.
The R35 is AWD and the Supra is FR = Two different drivetrains, so I'm not going to compare.

I never compared or guessed anything to or about the "MKV" (check my posts). Because a close to production concept MKV doesn't even exist yet.

I never said that the TRD 3000GT Supra wasn't stock. The thread is about new Supra, not new 3000GT. So I suggested a new a car that is similar to the MKIV SupraTT and not the 3000GT.

I race; but not in spec races b/c there is none anywhere close to where I live. And even if there was, I don't want to spend the time or money on a dedicated track car (sportbikes are more cost effective for track days).

I will stop talking about the N***o 3**Z on this thread because I'm tired of this subject now.

All of your posts are contradicting itself and I'm not that nice to explain all of em again.

Why are all you guys fighting, relax.

You cannot compare the supra and 370z because the Supra was made in 1993 and 370z in 2008.Different generation.

Compare the Supra with rx-7 twin turbo, skyline twin turbo, etc

It's amazing how good this car really is and you really have to give toyota their props on making a legend of a car.

Thank you Toyota for making the Toyota Supra twin turbo

but please get your rich fat asses off the couch and make me a new fuckin Supra, don't tell me the Lexus LFA is it because 1.I cannot afford it and even if i could, they are already sold out 2. It's a v-10, a supra is inline 6.

Please Toyota, make a new Toyota Supra, please

a) I was responding to your previous post and b) "for it's day" implies that just that, that it's only better in a context of existing in 1993.

So why are you talking about spec tires? How much of your driving is actually done in a spec seiries race?

P.S. You are doing just as much comparing between the two cars as I am. BTW, In my first post I was simply trying to state that a stock nismo 370Z would put down equal or better performance #'s(ie 0-60, 1/4 mile, skid pad, lap time), as a stock mkiv did 15 years ago. I'm talking about stock #'s because most people will not want to void their warranty (this message board is, "How much would a new Supra cost?").
- I hate when people on the internet make assumptions about how people get what they have.

- Tyres make a huge difference on performance. Tyre technology has made huge advancements over the last decade, so it is worth mentioning.

Im just sayin dude. A straight 6 isnt happining. V6? most def. Look at the GTR, was straight 6 forever and now a V configuration.

But if they are calling a V10 FR Honda a NSX, you never know.

they're not calling it nsx, but went w hv something something (forgot the name). I think, they just say that it was "concept nsx", so they can use it in Super GT

It's HSV-010. Such a strange name if you ask me.

Still it should not have NSX mentioned with it at all.

The thought of a new Supra is soooo tempting. That's MY car! However given what's been happening to Toyota it could be argued that it's not going to happen for at least a decade or so. Or it's the crazy good press that they desperately need.

First of the bad stuff for Toyota the F1 gong show. Lots of money, no results. Second Nissan's GT-R. Third the LF-A can be put in there somewhere too.

It's hard to say if the LF-A was supposed to be some kind of spiritual successor to the Supra or some marketing project banking on a successful F1 season (whoops!), but for some reason it never turned my crank. I was expecting some ridiculous numbers given its near half-million dollar price. But according to Automobile magazine ('Satanic Lexus' Dec 2009) "A Nissan GT-R, which is a fraction of the price, shaves at least one-tenth off the LFA's acceleration time. A Corvette ZR1 is a few clicks faster overall." WTF!?! I guess that is pretty close to the definition of the internet's EPIC FAIL!

They need a do-over. Screw the LFA's F1 (Failure One) inspired V10. Take the ISF's V8, strengthen the bottom-end (assuming it needs it), use top quality head-gaskets (remember the 7M!) throw some pretend, easily upgraded turbos on it (say just under 7psi with a bottom end that can take 30psi), a fuel system that can handle double the stock power, dust off the old Getrag 6 speed, in a car that weighs no more than 3500lbs, and under-cut the GT-R's price by $5000. Call it a Supra. Instant success, revived legend.

The dream... sigh...
