Yeah, his fault for not realizing his exit was right there. But he could've been following his passengers directions, who just noticed the exit. Again, his fault, but I hardly find this to be a supreme act of douchebaggery on him. So what if he hits the brakes? People hit the brakes before they turn, are they all douchebags? If he sped up and then got off, he probably wouldn't have made the exit, or gotten into a crash. As he got closer he got slower? Well yeah. He's braking isn't he? It's your job to not get closer and closer. It would've been 100% your fault if you hit him.

Sounds to me like you're making an excuse for yourself and that hitting the brakes to slow down to half speed of the flow of traffic, on the HIGHWAY, is something you condone. The fucker in the M3 could have at least threw his blinkers or hazard on to warn cars behind him. Saving a few minutes in exchange for a life or two should not even be something to think about.

I do a lot of driving on the major interstates in Missouri and honestly the #1 speeders I see are nissan altimas/maximas, Audi's, and SUV's. Lot's of them do 85+ in a 70. What do I do? give them about 1/8th mile and follow at 84. Gets me where I'm going faster and gives me a nice patrol buffer. My only two tickets ever are a 45 in a 35 (on my way to cash a paycheck ironically) and just recently a 90 in a 60. That one I was merging from an on ramp onto an empty highway. Lucky I didn't get jailed. Honestly to me what makes someone a douchebag driver is being inconsiderate of other drivers. I think that speed doesn't necessarily equal bad, but it's how you handle your car and how considerate you are of other drivers. I can be a safer driver going 90 in a 70 than someone doing 75 just because of how I choose to drive.

Unfortunately, the first--and sometimes only--thing that comes to mind in a lot of drivers is "How can I make sure I get where I need to go at my own convenience? Huh, what other drivers?"

The problem with getting upset at idiot drivers is that there is no end in sight. Nothing is going to change. You're just hurting yourself by getting pissed off. I've learned to just "let it go". Yes ... on those rare times where someone's idiotic driving could potentially injure myself or my family .... yes ... I let them know with the horn.

I go weeks without seeing another twin. But when I do, (s)he's driving like a douche, and I'm shaking my head. Coincidentally, I've never been in my BRZ when I spot the douche.

I'm not saying that there aren't plenty of douches in every other model... But I almost never see a sensible driver in a twin.

Save it for the industrial back roads roads, and track events.

FRS = New Douchebag driver?

That being said, slowing down to speeds below the flow of traffic just to make an exit that you almost missed is discourteous and foolish. I almost got caught in a pile up one time just because some dumbass lady in a Taurus stopped diagonally across the exit divider, just to make her exit. Honestly, if you miss your exit, tough luck. Take the next one and double back. What makes you think you have the right to stop in the middle of the freeway and risk a multi-car accident just to save your slow ass an extra 2 minutes???

Other than the fact that this isn't me, and I don't condone it, as I said it was his fault to begin with,
Seems like u guys are super picky.
There's stupid drivers everywhere, u can't get all riled up all the time.
As I said, becoming an angry driver makes u a bad driver thus becoming the very person u got angry at.
Roads aren't a safe place and they never will be, and for everyone to be in sync driving wise is never gonna happen.
U can rage all u want, but you'll become the person that people are trying to avoid.
Where I live, there are always accidents, cars broken down in the middle of the highway, cops doing zigzags across the freeway to slow traffic, police chases, laws being broken left and right, tractor tires on the highway, glass shards everywhere, fires.
There would be no point in me getting angry.
Besides the fact, other countries, look at Southeast Asia or Middle East, endure MUCH worse driving conditions.

Words of wisdom that few understand. One car moving well below the pace of traffic on a multi lane road creates havoc similar to a race car spinning it's tires on a rolling restart.

Ha, I actually spotted a brand new FRS zig-zagging all accross 4 lanes on my morning commute this morning with the traffic already going 70-75. I'm sure he was going at least 80mph. He went from being in the left lane (fast lane), to the slow lane, and back to the fast lane just to move one car ahead.

I waved as he passed me as I took the BRZ out today with no response. I'm glad he didn't acknowledge me lol.

Whoops. Guilty.

Still, this thing doesn't climb speeds quite like the Evo did. So far so good, ticket wise.

I don't see this problem due to the fact that I live in Miami. In Miami, everyone is a douchebag driver, the dude with the 1992 corolla is a douchebag driver, so is the guy in the Hyundai Sante Fe, or the Honda Odyssey, they're all douchebag drivers here. I don't think the car is synonymous with the type of driver though, it's the image they think they want to convey. Any guy that's into "rice" will drive like a douchebag whether you put him in a beat up integra, or and FRS, or an Audi R8.
