Chris Harris knows cars. One of the few opinions I put any real weight in.

I think it may have been the 370z for me.

2013 Camaro SS. Still wonder if I made a good decision.

What were you looking for in a car, because those are polar opposites.

I pulled the trigger on the BRZ without even test driving it after I saw Chris Harris' 2nd review. I've watched him since the days of EVO and Autocar and Driving Republic (I think this became Drive?).

If the BRZ never existed I would still sell off the Golf GTI and start taking the bus again everyday.

I wouldn't have bought anything for a while. Audi S6 or MB E63 would have been where I would land in a couple of years. Maybe a Miata or FC/FD RX7 for weekends.

I wanted to go back to an affordable Japanese sports compact with a new car warranty. However the affordable Japanese sports car market died right after the dot-com bubble burst (I used to have an issue of Best Car from around 2001 that listed all the discontinued JDM sports car models).

I don't fit inside a Miata either. The BRZ is the perfect candidate without upgrading to an Audi TT / TT-S or Golf R that are based on the same garbage design as my old GTI (EA113 2.0T and PQ35 chassis FAIL).

Then I decided if I was going to pay for a car, I might as well have something I love.... and with 93 octane and 27mpg in the winter, it isn't that much cheaper than the Rubi (although I did just dump $100 in gas teh past couple of days to drive).

I think I would of ended up with either a Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger. Thank god there was a BRZ because everyone drives those other cars.

Im getting 28+mpg vs 18-20mpg. That was a big enough difference for me. It costs $0.30/gal more for 93 here than 87 so about $3.xx per fill up. Still way ahead when you factor mpg.

I wish it was only $.30/gallon more. Here in NY it is almost $.50 now.

I would call the Toyota Yaris a polar opposite! Not the Camaro.
RWD, 2door sports coupe/car. Good looks, fast, good handling.

What killed the Camaro for me was the tires and MPG. and the price was 10k more didn't help.
