Been trying my best to improve my credit score...its so-so.
But man when my friend told me hers was 765 my jaw dropped..
Note: we are 22, she has 0 credit card. And 0 school loans...parents cosigned her auto loan.
Anyway its safe to say mine should be up there eventually

Good job OP.

I'm 20. Full time job, paying for car myself with 6500 down payment and 420 a month. I pay everything myself as i live on my own. Blessed to say the least. Feels good to be paying for your own car, which i'm sure the majority of the people here have felt before.

There needs to be more kids like yourself, with the time to earn the money to buy this car.

good on you!

And with work just so they could have the damn car they often did not have time for clubs, sports, partys, etc...so definitely not worth it.

It is pretty typical to see, the kid works their ass off at work so they can afford their car which they need to drive to work, nasty cycle.

For those who say they bought it in cash at 16-20 y/o, I'd like to know how the heck you had 25-26k + ttl in the bank at that age, it certainly wasn't from working a cash register I would not think.

And more on topic, I am 23, graduated college last year and got a MS3, but it was not what I really wanted so I recently traded it + cash for the FRS.
I actually just got a raise 4 dollars over minimum wage and I saved for 2 years but choose to believe what you want

I make well over minimum wage, I work 9 hours a day during the summer and I also paint fences to make some extra cash. I wouldn't lie about paying for it myself. I just wanted to see who else is my age that has one.

Heh, You don't need ambition to buy a car. Time and a job will get you a car, any car.
