I couldn't care less what someone who equates a V8 RX-7 with a Camaro thinks, obviously he knows little to nothing about cars in general! Just trying to shine a light for the ignorant, but of course it is pearls before swine in most cases!

You said "if you want a camaro or a corvette go buy one." That's not a broad generalization, that is you pretty directly implying that a camaro or corvette would be essentially the equivalent to a V8 RX-7.

You can't deal with people disagreeing with you, whats the difference? At least I didn't have to resort to calling you names in a weak attempt to make my point.
Please, quit while you are ahead and remove yourself from this discussion. |

Ill be fine. I enjoy posting in the thread and i was stating my OPINION. I did say "dumbasses" because its frustrating when people are constantly sitting there saying sbc is way better. Yes i let yall get the best of me, but guess what. I stated something and my OPINION's got deleted. Yes i got an infraction for calling the general people who keep insisting on the opposite of my OPINION "dumbasses" but guess what. I don't care.

LSx/T56 swaps generally don't add this much when similarly equipped to original, but I've got some additional weight-adders (in addition to p/s and a/c): Roll bar (~40 lb.), Accusump (~25 lb.), bigger wheels/tires (255/265 StarSpecs => +20 lb.), StopTech 328mm front/99+ RX-7 rear brakes. Weight distribution of the car with 3/4-tank is 49.9/50.1 front/rear. With me in the car and 3/4-tank, it's 49.5/50.5. LS2 with shaved L92 heads, LS3 intake, 222/230 .597" cam: ![]() To be taken with a grain of salt... The car did 129.16mph in the 1/4 and 184.8mph in the standing mile, by my calcs the above plot is probably about right for flywheel torque/power, optimistic for the rear wheels. Track times: Not up to speed yet... No track tires for it, and the suspension is not that great (Tein SS that were run for MANY miles at the wrong settings which may have damaged them). Still was 2nd quickest at an FD meet at VIR south course in May. Slow amongst the fast cars at NHMS time trials with COMSCC a couple of weeks ago. Need tires! Here it is: ![]() ![]()
