I don't think you have to be going very fast to get that kind of shot. Most of the magic is in how slow the shutter speed of the camera being used is

It would be really funny if he had another steering wheel still connected and everyone was freaking out for no reason

Pretty stupid...I could see doing this in a parking lot at a VERY slow speed and having the photo edited or shot with a certain shutter speed to get the desired effect. My buddy had his WRX shot when it still wasn't running and he had a bunch of "moving" pics when it was just being pushed in a parking lot

Can you explain this fad? I mean I don't think its really artistic. Its a steering wheel. I mean if its a clean rolling shot sure, but this is just as dumb as the people that hang out of their cars with a rag "cleaning" their wheels...

Man, I'm getting old because I clearly don't understand this kind of stuff... Between driving with a steering wheel hanging out the window and the "stanced" cars, I'm truly baffled.

The problem with the gene pool is there are no lifeguards...

Those rolling shots can easily be done at 5 MPH maybe even slower. But still dangerous to not have a steering wheel on.

I can see idiots doing this in parking lots, in which case its *really* easy to just run up and steal the wheel (sensing new fad name).

If I see this on the road, it will be very tempting to just pull up next to this guy and suddenly swerve near him

I did a photo shoot for him a few months ago before the wreck. He's a nice dude, but not a lot of concern for public safety during a shoot. Some of his ideas for the shoot i had to turn down due to them being kinda dangerous. And he didn't fully get that a rolling shot doesn't need to be done at 60+ MPH

I guess color choice is now rice?

Do I really need to answer that? Also I can bet you have no idea where that animated gif is from either.

[LEFT]
I believe I do

Also, if we are going to hate, lets keep the hate focused on-target--aka, anyone who would risk their lives and others by taking off their steering wheel.

Seriously, I lose more faith in humanity every day.
