Lexus has recently unveiled the Lexus LF-LC Hybrid Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

The model was previously unveiled at the North American International Auto Show a few months ago, where it has won the EyesOn Design award from a jury of leading designers. The concept has also won the “best concept in show” title at Chicago, voted by thousands of visitors that came at the event.

“The LF-Lc was a dream car to design and a true collaborative effort at Calty. It is an honor to have that work recognized by our peers and to receive the award”, as the President of Calti Design, Kevin Hunter, said in Detroit.

The design of this beautiful 2+2 hybrid sport coupe concept was created by the design team at the Calty design studio in California and features a new grille, afterburner tail lamps, vertical fog lamps, a glass roof and quad exhaust. The interior features state-of-the-art amenities such as a remote touch-screen control board used for the audio system, two 12.3-inch LCD screens, pop-up touch screen keyboard for complex entries, navigation and climate control, touch screen controllers used for the windows, mirrors, personal entertainment and door panels and many other.

The LF-LC in its final production version will be powered by a hybridized 5.0 liter V8 engine, which will develop around 500 horsepower, helping the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds.

Having made its world debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January, the beautiful Lexus LF-LC makes its Euro debut in Geneva; Toyota was too busy making new show cars for itself to bother doing anything for Lexus, it seems.

Nonetheless, the LF-LC is a lovely thing, and is a showcase of future Lexus styling - in the tradition of many a lovely concept car.

Its glass roof is essentially a single piece canopy for the car, adjoining the front and rear screens and making the cabin extremely airy.

The four-seat coupé has a dashboard whose main controls and displays are largely digital, which is perhaps a glimpse of where Lexus design is going; the architecture borrows heavily from the LFA.

Lexus is said to be considering putting a watered-down version into production, giving the company a nice BMW 6 Series and Mercedes Benz SL rival.

I don't like the idea of V8 though, I wish they'd make a higher performance version of the 2GR-FSE. Could be a beast.
