The meet concludes at 3 Sunday. You'll have plenty of time.

You have to be at tech inspection and drivers meeting at 0700.

Got my checks. I'm heading out Saturday morning. Anyone in SC wanna meet up at a waffle house and convoy up there? I'll be coming from Columbia, SC.

What route will you be taking up from Columbia? I26 to Asheville then over or the more scenic route up route 28 from Seneca/Walhalla?

Columbia's a bit far for breakfast =(, but I could hop in somewhere closer to Greenville/Spartanburg.

This adds about an hour to the trip from the Greenville/Spartanburg areas but if the weather is right is a very nice ride through the twists and turns up to Highlands, NC and then on to the Tail. Haven't been past Highlands myself, but even in my old Dakota the road up there was fun.

I'd be interested in going if anyone wanted to go again next month

Brunch is at 11, and the Cherohala run is at 1. It takes 4 hours from here to get there with little to no traffic, so if we want to make the run and pick up lunch on the way we need to leave here around 8-8:30ish.

If you need to get gas before leaving the Greenville area, I recommend the Spinx station here (Google maps), as they have 93 octane no ethanol gas that I have been using since I got the car and have had no issues with it (i.e., no power loss or fuel pump chirps). Their price for 93 oct no ethanol gas is about the same as the Blue Jay or Red Robin stations on Woodruff Rd., but it saves you the hassle of having to fight Woodruff Rd. traffic.
