The Wilwoods look great installed! I'm curious why they had to remove your struts to install the BBK. I see one sitting on the shop floor in one of the pics.

You doing any DE's soon?

Update:

I got my windows tinted. I went with 35% all the way around of the SunTek(CXP™ - Non-Metal, Nano-Hybrid, Carbon Construction). I got this done at TintFX in Fairfax. For those local, I would recommend. They did a very good job and great service. The prices are about what you would expect. I personally care more about the quality of the job than the price.

Before:

After (sorry just a couple quick pics picking it up and on my way back to the office):

Evening shot, when direct light isn't on it, it looks very dark. I'm very happy with it:

The BRZ is looking great! Do you have any plans for the rear brakes since you intalled a masterpiece in the front?

Thanks, not at the moment. When the rears need replacement, I'll probably go with some stoptech slotted rotors, hawk pads, and stainless lines.

I'm flirting with ordering the Direzza II's for my wheels. I really want to hold out until I get my coilovers in though!

I will use them at Mid-Ohio but they are primarily for the street. If I find myself heading to the track/autox's more, I'll pick up another set of wheels/tires.

shouldn't have ANY fitment issues ...esp with the offsets you have.. running a 255/40/17 squared..so shouldn't be problem...I will say, be careful with a staggered fitment.. it tends to put a push in the car thats really hard to dial out on mid-corner.

Update - I finally got the AEM map in. It's just the base map, I'll have to wait for them to upload the maps to the shared site to play with the fuel/timing options.

Anyways, within 2 mins I had everything flashed and took her out for a spin. WOW! The right map made a world of difference. The Injen map I was running definitely showed improvement over stock, but now that I'm on the right map it makes me very happy that I went with the Unichip. It pulls much harder and smoother. It feels more direct and torquey. I instantly realized the intake was making more noise...two thumbs up, this car is really a blast to me again.

I'm excited to see how things work when I get the header in and on. Stay tuned...

May I ask why you're running a staggered fitment?

Hey Swift,

Glad to hear you got your map from unichip and that it's an improvement on the butt dyno. Are you going to post any info from your "dyno" just to compare, even before the header. And can't wait to hear about the header.
On another note, how are your brakes? Are they still great? I'm still considering them pretty seriously for 1K.

Sure, I want something wide to get a higher grip level and don't want something huge up front poking out. I really like the look of these wheels so staggered is really the only way I can go for how I want it to look. I've ran staggered on every RWD car I've had and they have all been handling machines. I'll be able to dial out the understeer with the R2s and sways.

Yeah, I'm about to for a quick run to log some data and will import it to the virtual dyno. Unfortunately I won't be going to the actual dyno until May 4th, so I should have the headers on by then.

The brakes are holding up fine, came in handy today as I was feeling the new power. I really need to jump into a stock BRZ, it's easy to forget the improvements over time but they are working good. No issues with them. I'll be doing Mid-Ohio on June 10th, so that will be a big test for them.

Swift, that is one sick looking BRZ, I wish I can see it in person one day. I really need to learn how to work on car, I am always too scare to do anything to it.

Update -

I received my FA20Club header on Friday just before I had to head to the airport to go out of town for the weekend. I waited 24 days to receive it which was a bit annoying but it came and looks to be top notch quality. I got up early this morning and was going to install it before I headed to work, but quickly realized I'll need to purchase a couple bolts to bolt the overpipe to the header. None were supplied. I've got the Unichip maps with headers loaded. I'll have to install this evening but wanted to share a few pics as I'll be keeping a brisk pace on the install and not worried about snapping pics.

Excuse the mess, the spare room in my basement has turned into parts and boxes overflow.

I also picked up a set of OEM gaskets for the header joins and the overpipe connection. Thanks for those who shared the Header DIY. I should be able to get it installed in about 2 hours. Impressions to follow...

FYI - I took the specs from the Borla header install and plan to pick up the same bolts/nuts in the size they provide. (M10-1.50 x 35mm)

Good Luck Swift, I've been waiting to see how a header works with the Unichip.
