That's what I thought, but I called 2 different lease mobs to find out. I swear you used to be able to do it, ive had 2 lease cars before, but the mobs I called said it's an ATO thing. I might make a few more phone calls....

LFA drive in Melbourne with Scott Pruett, just hot laps, but I don't think they let you actually drive the car

Just called another place (old company I went through) they said you can, up to 20% of the cars nett basic price what ever that means. I got a meeting tomorrow with a lease mob, so I'll find out more.

I guess it might have to be $70k loan over 5-6 years ($300-$350/w easily done) So it's like pay a bit more now (running costs) and own the car outright at the end of loan, or save a bit on lease (running costs) and still have to pay $30k-$40k at the end of the lease. Find out more tomorrow. No way do I want to pay interest on $120k lol! F that!!!

FT-86 Pricing: Latest News

Stripped-down GT version is actually around $45k
Road-going GTS version is actually around $50k or more

I signed a contract to buy one on 30 July, 2011 when it was touted around $35k and I always thought it would be a few grand more, but $50k is ridiculous. I'm now cancelling my order! FU Toyota - I'm off to buy a BRZ which will arrive sooner anyway.
