With Oft Stage 2 UEL headers, frontpipe, and catback you should get a bump of about 20 hp and 10 ft/lbs of torque.

Thought I lost my rear diffuser yesterday. Truck blew a tire in front of me and no place to go. Managed to straddle the biggest piece but it bounced all the way under the car. Got to the back bumper and WHAM. Figured diffuser gone and bumper damaged but all that happened was it popped both the covers of the tow ring accesses.
Can't even imagine the ruckus of a lip passing under the car at speed!

The OFT stage1 however will give you :
Better idle
Better throttle response
Higher, soft redline
Slightly better torque dip
Launch control / no lift shift
Noticeably better mileage

-Josh
The only thing on that list I got was better mileage. Everything else was not there for me.

Also like I said couple pages ago I drove a EL Tomei with e70 ecutek dyno tuned and it felt similar to adding a high flow filter. I think bolt ons plus tuning sucks unless you can get all the parts used or much cheaper. I'm not knocking OFT alone. But I would hate to spend 2k plus for what feels like 7whp. The OFT on the other hand while cheaper is better to buy USED. I made the mistake of buying it 500 and selling it for 380. So I'm only out 120 which is better than losing the whole thing on ECUtek, I agree. I need to drive a 4.88 fd 86 because I'm scared it may not be worth it.

Granted the idle and response are subjective, but the higher softer redline and launch control are factual features of the tune.

I can justify the OFT for the redline alone. Bouncing off the stock Rev limiter decelerates the car so fast, first time I thought I broke the motor. Now I can Rev the car all the way out without worrying, if I shift a touch too late the only consequence is me hearing a short 'brappapap'.

-Josh

Interesting. I shift at redline and never go through what you speak of. Also I guess I had LC but didnt care for it. My problem is that on this very forum people made high praises of the version 2.0 stage 1 like it was a major difference especially with bolt ons. The funny thing is I never listen to reviews but I decided to take a chance so I'm never listening to what folks say on here. I have to test it out or just don't buy it. Simple.

I lost the whole rear bumper on my ae86 in my sig below. 80 mph midnight on the freeway. Dragged it for 5 seconds then nothing. Car was so loud i couldnt tell what it was until i got home 45 min later. By then i was so tired i didnt care lol it was a replica kit that i didnt like anyway, so i picked up a nice ised replica oem kouki rear. Silver linings...

Anyhow... worst mod to my frs so far has been the vht night shades red. It faded to pink in like 3 months. Granted, i should have sealed them with a good clear coat. And i refuse to replace my tailights. Well, maybe if winjet makes reps of the kouki 86 lights! But yeah if you use vht night shades, give them a clear coat to seal it up and provide some uv protection!

Sway bars. I can't get up my driveway without three wheeling it. Also, I don't track my car so it was pretty much a useless mod.

My worst mod was a lightweight crank pulley and early ecutek tune. My best mod was p&lheader. Now I am stock but for Crawford power blocks and oft. On good day it aint half bad. A lot better than stock.
