Mustered up the strength to yank it. Immediately felt it backing out of the driveway. The feel is even better but I will say, for a normal sized person, pedal force might be a bit much in stop-and-go traffic.
I'm a bit of a sasquatch. edit: If you don't mind a good manly clutch feel. I recommend both. It feels amazingly direct and crisp. Last edited by Ultramaroon; 11-05-2014 at 06:10 PM. |

I would like to know if this Forester part will be a 1:1 swap? Would love to pick it up rather than go to Toyo of Kirkland ($$$$ plus an hour drive? no thanks!) |

30620AA111 is a 1:1 swap with the FRS/BRZ slave. It's the same casting with a smaller piston. The slave that @Ultramaroon purchased is for an older Forester, hence why it's not a 1:1 swap and doesn't match at the banjo mount.
You'll also want two new 114130151 crush washers and a small bottle of brake fluid if you don't already have it. Official parts list: 1) Subaru 30620AA111 clutch slave 2) Subaru 114130151 crush washers (x2) 3) Small bottle of DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid Last edited by 37; 11-09-2014 at 09:35 PM. Reason: added official parts list |

As part of an over-center mechanism, this one works opposite. It is at is maximum compression when the pedal is at rest but doesn't apply any force to the pedal. edit after seeing your edit: Yaay! I really appreciate the verification. Thank you. |

This one? http://www.autozone.com/drivetrain/c...er/383444_0_0/
The list of vehicles looks correct, as does the photo. I'd say it's probably the correct replacement part. Personally I'd rather spend the extra $15 and buy an original. At least you'd know what you're getting. |
