Hmmm, for some reason I thought this dyno day is in spring. Guess I'll just swing by their place when I'm in santa clara for work next time.

Any body with a gen1 Pixel notice their phone randomly rebooting after the 8.1 update?

My LG G3 randomly reboots. It has never been updated and for some reason no OTA updates are available, unlike my bro's G3 that he's got the same time as me. His updated like 2 or 3 times already.

Been reading up on it and it sounds like its a known issue on certain chip sets? Not entirely sure. Got in touch with Google customer service and they want a bug report to have a look. |

Well known issue with LG, I'm on my third Nexus 5X because of it, shame it's hitting HTC too, my M7 HTC One was great until it couldn't keep up with apps anymore and the charging port took a beating, it's still my backup phone.
Google support has been fantastic in my experience, especially Fi CS, usually they're sending me a replacement phone within an hour. LG CS was trash. |

I'm not even sure that is the culprit, just the last "major" thing I've installed apart from some app updates. |

I like Project Fi, but every single Google phone we've bought has been a piece of shit on a stick. I've got the Moto X4 now, and I bought a couple more for the wife and daughter. It's pretty good IMHO.

Mine hasn't restarted by itself in a while to my knowledge. So yeah, very random.

My wife is a big fan of the S series, but I could just not get over the UI no matter how good the phones are. |

They are great phones but I'm a huge fan of strock android. The Samsung version of android UI ("Touchwiz") just feels super cluttered and bloated to me. Things have definitely improved over the last iterations but I would always get frustrated when I try to use my wife's phone lol.
