My LG G3 randomly reboots. It has never been updated and for some reason no OTA updates are available, unlike my bro's G3 that he's got the same time as me. His updated like 2 or 3 times already.

It's super annoying and renders my phone unusable (it hung up and restarted on my while I was on a phone interview today :mad: )

Been reading up on it and it sounds like its a known issue on certain chip sets? Not entirely sure. Got in touch with Google customer service and they want a bug report to have a look.

Well known issue with LG, I'm on my third Nexus 5X because of it, shame it's hitting HTC too, my M7 HTC One was great until it couldn't keep up with apps anymore and the charging port took a beating, it's still my backup phone.

Google support has been fantastic in my experience, especially Fi CS, usually they're sending me a replacement phone within an hour. LG CS was trash.

Mine doesn't restart when I'm using it. Usually it's when I wake it up, then it'll restart.

Ya, I'm on my 5X now, which is my backup phone. Google CS has been great so far, so no complaints on that. Not sure if I'm gonna get anything since the phone is 2 yrs old, maybe a discount code to a Pixel 2 I'm just miffed that I shelled out for the 128Gb version thinking this would be my phone for a while.

Ya, google CS keeps asking me of the conditions when it does it, but I don't know what to tell them since its so random. Just my luck that I'm waiting for it to restart so I can get a bug report, it hasn't done it in the last 24 hrs (when it was doing it almost every hour yesterday).

I'm not even sure that is the culprit, just the last "major" thing I've installed apart from some app updates.

I like Project Fi, but every single Google phone we've bought has been a piece of shit on a stick. I've got the Moto X4 now, and I bought a couple more for the wife and daughter. It's pretty good IMHO.

Ya, I'm really considering the MotoX4 since I've really enjoyed owning my gen1 Moto X. Plus, its the only option with a damn 3.5 jack...

I'll see how I'll like it soon. I went from a non-smart phone to an HTC One X to my current LG G3. What did you now like about the interface?

They are great phones but I'm a huge fan of strock android. The Samsung version of android UI ("Touchwiz") just feels super cluttered and bloated to me. Things have definitely improved over the last iterations but I would always get frustrated when I try to use my wife's phone lol.
