IDK? The teeth on it stick in pretty far. Getting it installed was a bit tricky at first until I figured out that I just needed to bend the holder downward to get the teeth to pop in. After that it popped into place and is pretty sturdy. It's a CD player.... Who uses those anymore anyways?

I buy CD's still. I will rip them in flac at home and listen to from my hard drive. But in the car i always use the CD's cause almost no phones or players support flac/wav files.

Also the quality is compromised compared to a direct source like a CD.
