Anyone know the xmas shutdown dates for toyota in aus? I have delievery in december prob before xmas but also go on holidays from 13th-25th, im thinking it will be ready for pickup while im on holidays and when i get back i wont be able to pick it up until after xmas shutdown

Also despite popular belief most countries in the Northern Hemisphere don't have long holidays over Xmas (as opposed to Aus) because it's the middle of winter!!!

I'm not talking about shutdowns in the japan side. I'm talking about Aus-side supply chain delays, with reference to the docks, customs inspectors, road transporters, dealers, 3rd parties the dealers use for pre-delivery, etc etc etc

Customs does not have shut down over xmas.

Agree the issue will most likely be Toyota factory who i assume put the mats and things in the car and the dealers. "fingers crossed".

tbh xmas shut downs arent as common as they once were. I would be interested to know whether dealers close for extended periods over xmas. I basically know noone who has forced shut down at their work these days.

Thats true, probably have a skeleton crew at the dealer with public holidays on xmas, boxing day and new years. Only way to find out is call the dealer i suppose.
