Could you please explain the big differences between the two dyno plots on the first post? Is one whp (the new one) and the other calculated flywheel?

I was looking forward to the proposed flat'ish 230-240 ft-lb torque curve from 3-7k rpm.

More details on the oil pump? How exactly does it attach to the camshaft?

Is the 230whp/197ft-lb tq dyno using the 5psi base map?

The difference is simple, USA gas SUCKS A$$, the original dyno was with Japan Gas.

Ignore this particular dyno chart

Various new photos

This is a dyno chart for their Japanese car with Japanese fuel. Notice torque peak on this dyno is at 3k, but the US version is achieved at 4k. Undoubtedly, the quality of gas is to blame, but I feel AVO should clearly label each dyno so as to not confuse.

Secondly, this particular chart has a peculiarity that needs to be pointed out. The torque and hp numbers do not correlate. Either torque is too high, or hp is too low. If you do the math, they don't add up. The formula for calculating hp is: hp = (torque * rpm) / 5252.

Either way, it's a great looking kit at a more than fair price.

What if we already have an Ecutek license? Will there be any savings with that?

You would be correct, if the torque and horsepower were on the same scale.

Yeah the kit looks very good indeed! Shame about U.S. gas holding us back, but I still think you would feel a heck of an improvement in that torque hole.

Props to AVO, if I get a turbo, this is the one.

No, the license is additional to the $3800 price tag. The tune is included in the pricetag.

Now I just need to find a way to use this with the AFE intake. I feel the AFE would provide considerable gains in this application, but it would need a pipe to go between the filter and the silicone hose that this kit uses.

Will there be any other tunes available from AVO? Like for us Canadian guys that run 94 octane?
