Curious how did they know what a stock front pipe looked like during visual inspection? Are they using pictures to compare or was your particularly shiny with aftermarket names on it

Smog tech wasn't lazy and used an underbody mirror to look around and I guess it's pretty obvious that it wasn't stock (JDL Ultra Quiet FP). I want to say he first referenced some official diagrams and when that didn't match up, he used this database and showed me that he couldn't find any such numbers on my part.

I feel like we all need a bay area "rent-a-cat" service where we just put on the stock headers/front pipes for smog and return it afterwards haha.
