If you bought the CAE Shifter used, some people may not know this if they were not handed the instruction manual.
The shifter design was changed the reverse linkage was connected when the Gen 2 BRZ/GR86 came out. CAE instructions after installation recommend lubricating every joint movement and checking the springs/linkage of the shifter every 6 months to maintain its rigidity and smooth shifting. I owned a CAE Shifter, and did its maintenance every oil change when necessary with the lubricant CAE recommended, which can only be bought through Amazon/Ebay. Having this shifter for almost 2 years, and it was worth the investment. |
