I enjoy driving in France. Their use of trees as guard rails encourages concentration although the traditional liter of wine with lunch puts a damper on that. Good thing returning to work is optional.

Oh yeah, roundabouts rock! Especially in the UK where there's at least a slight hesitation from others awaiting entry to the sight of another driver on the limit. There's nothing quite as satifying as the successful understeering entry followed by oversteering exit.

The marvels of an unlimited stretch of Autobahn, 7:18AM.
Yes, that's a whopping 27 km/h on the speedo

How would an unlicensed hung-over car-bomber Jihadist handle a roundabout driving on the wrong side of the road?

Shame Christopher Hitchens is not around.

We have one outside the park where I have my cottage. It is pretty much deserted for most of the day. I frequently will scare the living crap out of my passengers on it!

Ah, but you see, there's a trick to it.
In the middle of the day and late at night, at that time of year when a healthy portion of the German population are clogging up Norwegian highways with their caravans and mobile homes, the Autobahn can be traveled with ease :-)
Unless there are road works. And there are. It took me more than 4 hours to drive from Lübeck to Puttgarten last summer.

Ya my simple observation that Germany does not exist solely of these super highways with no speed limit (that most North Americans picture) sort of led us down the garten path!
My apologies for that!

Brilliant idea: Trade in the other Toyota for a BRZ :-)

Would spoil my "modest appearance at our members" approach that I opted for when getting the Auris. Also, don't like the front of the BRZ....

Personally, I don't discriminate. I assume that everyone else on the road are blind and feeble minded.
Unless I'm tailgated by two men in a German sedan. Then I assume they are cops and feeble minded.

There's performance upgrades to be had for the Auris, you know...
