Idk how accurate this is but. I believe that wot at anything below 2krpm puts alot of strain on your motor and shouldn't be recommended.

I only do pulls from a minimum on 2.5krpm

Edit: wot @1.5k rpm in 1st gear is perfectly fine

I agree. It's not really normal driving conditions so why do it. You'd never be below 2.5k when you actually want to drive fast.

Update, don't remember which post it was, but I read that VD only reads above 90 percent something throttle position. Once I stripped my data file down to that parameter, I ended up with a 160 whp / 150 ftlbs. Where as I understand that this about correct. I'm still skeptical. These finds are still from original data logs which I have not yet had an opportunity to try any of the suggested pulls from earlier posts. Still learning and trying to catch up.

150ft lbs is kinda high for stock car. What I've been doing is warm up the tires before logging and make several back to back pulls. Once I have that I upload it to Virtual dyno then I filter out all the pulls with any type of spiking in the the graphs. My results have been pretty consistent.

Here's one for bones stock vs, OFT stg1 tune on a bone stock car.

Are you using a complete data log or am I correct that I have to save a log with just the pull?

I take one log with multiple pulls, then I divide each pull into separate logs/files. So if I have 7 pulls in one log I'd divide it into 7 separate files with one pull in each file. IT's a bit tedious, but it beats paying $50 a pull at you local shop. lol

yes, I skate... I cheap skate. lol

Have you created a new profile? You need to create a profile, then you can pick a car.

Every time you go to use the program you have to make sure you selected the right profile too.

If you go under the profile pulldown menu select add a profile and you should see a blank profile pop up. There is Car pulldown menu to select the make and model.

is there a way to change virtual dyno to read below 90% throttle? my throttle tapers off to 89% by redline and thus won't show top end numbers...

edit: just changed the throttle values in my logs to above 90%. problem solved

I think you may be missing the app data. I can't remember if there was a way to update but if you are registered and online it should update automatically I think. Worst case is you go into car editor and create your car. I had to do that when I started using it in 2012 because FR-S wasn't in their data.

This has already been covered in the thread, but it's not an issue below 90%... the app assumes if the TP drops more than ~5% from the peak value it's no longer at WOT. I've messaged the guy that wrote it about this, but the easy solution is to just increase the TP values to be within 5% of the peak (I normally just set them all to 100).
