looking forward to seeing some before and after results of this setup.

Definitely a good option using OEM parts, not screwing with oil pressures and not having to worry about exposed oil lines and potential failure/leak points.

Been wanting to do this, and once I saw this thread I finally got off my ass and got it done lol.

You going to go with my parts list or the stuff you had listed? I saw some of your numbers were different. I used all the early production FXT numbers

Hey i just had an idea, not sure if it will work. Could you remove the coolant lines from the throttle body and move them to the sandwich plate? I understand you might have to use new, longer lines. But if you wanted to bypass throttle body warmer anyways it seems like it might be a good idea. I think it would be a little cheaper since you would only be buying the sandwich Plate and some hose.

Let me know what you guys think that have already done this.

This has already been discussed, the lines to the throttle body were decidedly smaller than the sandwich plate. Therefore reduced cooling capacity.

Any idea of the id of the throttle body hoses vs the sandwich plate? I'm more or less just wanting to warm the oil up faster. The cooling would just be an added benefit or me.

Why would you need it to be equipped with a thermostat? The beauty of this setup is that it uses the coolant to heat up the oil when the oil is cold and then uses the coolant to cool it off when its hot. I don't have an actual data on before and after as I didn't have the PID setup in torque before I did this mod, but my oil temps have never gone above 200 since I did this.

Took 6 months, but finally have proof the oil cooler does something:

Ran the same road 6 month ago without the oil cooler and again today. Both times temps were in the low 70's. I've done a bit to the car since then, but nothing in terms of power. With the tires I have now, I could actually push the car A LOT harder and I even ran it with the A/C on just to make sure I was running the car as hard as possible.

Might be hard to see the video, but the Oil temps are now running 15-20 degrees cooler. At some points the car was running 260 degrees or higher before, now they never exceed 245ed degrees. Thats a HUGE improvement IMO!

wow, im glad i didnt have an oil gauge when i ran fuji with out an oil cooler, i see 250 now with one, hate to imagine how hot it got before.
